I wasn’t able to decide how I wanted to pick my fighter for this – a gender bender or gender roles reversal? If it’s gender roles reversal should it reflect those typically associated with irl or with drama tropes?

If its a cross dressing type of drama, Sorry But China has SK beat hands down. On an average they do better portrayals of girls dressed as guys.

3 – Gender Reversal
i) Arsenal Military Academy
Did not complete the drama but Bai Lu nailed looking walking & talking like a man. If I didn’t know, I wouldn’t doubt for a second it’s a man.
ii) Oh My General – Sandra Ma as a war general – she’s pretty damn convincing as a guy. Honestly had a hard time digesting she wasn’t a man
iii) Only Kiss Without Love – Trashy webdrama, but it’s the best portrayal of a guy I’ve seen among east asian dramas.

Now kdrama picks :-
Tale Of Nokdu – again I did not complete this drama, but It’s the only believable case of a guy cross dressing like a woman, & looking alluring while doing so.

This had typical gender trope reversal & irl ideology reversal
with Scarlet being the executive that paves the way for a semi candy actor & Tammy being the one that didn’t want to get married. The reverse objectification aside, this is the best example I can think of. (This actually is the only drama in this list I’ve completed & liked)
