Darn it. Now I want to continue watching it. I didn’t like the last half of ToL though and hated how the writer used KJW’s character. Now I’m just plain torn.
fully acknowledge that ToL is a show a lot of people hated the back half of! I didn’t. But that’s heavily down to one’s own contexts, and ToL spoke to me in a very private, personal way that I wouldn’t expect anyone else to feel. So I strongly warn that your mileage may vary!
They think it’s well written and directed. Full disclosure is that I’ve started it three times so far, but this might motivate me to watch 4 episodes and then decide.
I got a tag? I listened to it and I totally agree. I also have opinions about banter. And I engage in it frequently in my real life. I think being married helps me have engaging, witty conversations without it looking like I’m flirting. And a couple drinks always makes me more talkative and much wittier. Lol.
For instance, lastnight we were talking about visiting some friends who happen to be gay. But also highly fashionable and like nice things. My husband was joking to my kids that if he didn’t have kids, he’d be the same. I naturally said, “You’d be gay then? Because of course it would be hard to have kids then!” My kids died laughing.
Hahaha, I honestly deeply enjoy that kind of back and forth! (I’ve now developed an allergy to the word ‘b*nter’)
Ohhh I’ve had days when I’m on FIRE and it’s utterly intoxicating. Convinced there’s some kind of mystic inspiration, because my brain is usually a little furry sloth.

I very unhappily finished ToL hoping that LJW would be avenged. 😒

I’m sure it was ToL that got him HPL so good vengeance I think! (if you mean KJW, that is!)

I mean, Thank You for this Little Yak. It might motivate me to enjoy more dramas again. @leetennant Have you listened to this?

I haven’t yet. Mostly because I didn’t watch Record of Youth and wasn’t particularly interested. Will it motivate me to escape from Slump Land?

I also learned that “banter” means something different in the UK than some other other countries.

Are you sure that was review or a “fan girl over PBG” post? 😆 Not that I mind. He can act the socks off of any character he plays. That’s talent.

haha I can’t take credit for that part – Paroma edited the post and as you can see, liberally pasted her agenda over it 😂
