It seems that the drama’s title is referring to the 1959 French best-seller novel by Françoise Sagan, AIMEZ-VOUS BRAHMS? I’ve never read it so I looked up a synopsis… so far it seems writer-nim has only borrowed the title and concept of love triangle (fortunately because I couldn’t handle the hard-core soap opera melo of the novel).
The drama’s title could also be a nod to German composer, Johannes Brahms 🙂 Sort of like how “Weightlifting Fairy, Kim Bok Joo” made jokes and nods towards Lionel Messi, the Argentinean footballer (soccer player), as it was a sports drama 🙂
It certainly is a nod to Brahms the composer, down to the characters inspired by his friendship with Clara and Robert Schumann and the music used in the drama. I just didn’t know there was a modern literary reference as well.
