TBH, I didn’t find it funny. I thought the joke was in bad taste :/ Just like the joke with the prof in ep1. Maybe I’m too much of a prude to find these amusing :p
I think this show does have a vulgarian streak, but I think I find it works well because it counter-balances the more thoughtful, clever stuff. I’d probably roll my eyes, or, worse, feel miffed at the crass gay joke, if it weren’t for the fact that there’s good balance.
Ha the balance is certainly there. There’s a LOT of innuendo and double entendres, e.g., Young-hwa’s lines after the painting meltdown, the running scene, throughout. It’s definitely very cleverly done. And that’s something I’m enjoying here!
