My early morning virtual walk. Descent from the top of Mt Namsan by the fortress walls in the falling snow.

I was able to watch 20 minutes, it really makes me feel like I went on a trip 😁
I can’t even believe how many locks there are, though!

Me too. The locks!! We’ve seen them in so many dramas. I remember in Korean Odyssey especially. These walks stay with me the whole day. You can feel the cold. It takes my breath away. Seoul Walker does similar walks too. They did one with the first snow in Seoul. It was so cold. There is another fabulous one around the Cheonggyecheon which fits with Lovestruck in the City. You can almost pick exactly where it was shot, or in Flower of Evil where he phones from the overpass and sees the killer sitting by the stream answer his phone. I can’t go to SK yet but when I do, I’ll know what to look out for.

Oh, that’s so neat! It was snowing here yesterday and I almost felt like I was in Seoul riding up and then walking down the mountain.
I thought many years ago they started periodically taking the locks down and starting over but I may be confusing it with a bridge in Paris where people put locks. They got so heavy they had to be taken down for structural safety. It really makes me think about how many people go to Nam San 😮 impressive! And I wonder how many people have recorded multiple loves with their locks 🤣

It’s 24 degrees here and will get to a max of 29 today. It’s humid and a bit overcast because the monsoon season has burst in the north and there’s lots of rain. Rain and heat. I’m appreciating the virtual cold and the flurries of snow on the walk down the mountain.

I remember that with the locks. I’m pretty sure you’re right, it was Paris. How funny, to leave your many loves locked up on a frosty mountain.

I’m going to check this one out now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XarlJTKVa6A&t=53s

Gosh, all those steep staircases and tiny narrow paths almost give me vertigo! I was surprised to see that they have stair rails, those are probably pretty recent additions. You really must have strong legs to get around Korea.

Apparently there are so many fit old women constantly haring up and down the staircases.
