Yep, I think their first statement, which came off a little dismissive, hasn’t helped. It’s a sensitive topic so I’m surprised that, knowing their audience, they weren’t more transparent from the start.
I read the argument of netizens on Snowdrop and I think it holds ground. Although, all assumptions are based on synopsis of a drama that hasn’t started. We know how the initial story press release differs vs the actual drama.
I’m glad they clarified that the drama is not dealing with the pro-democracy movement. I do believe they mean to show the corruption of the NSP and ruling party, but I do have some concerns reading the statement. Hopefully, the drama handles everything well, but I agree there are bound to be some slip ups.
