CC 6 (which I’ve retitled Close Call): I never thought I’d have to say something like this, but this drama is making me conclude that the best thing is for grandma to die. And I hate that I’m painted into that corner! What could go right that grandma would not be hurt? Nothing. She can’t find out that Rhee Moon Sung is a fraud and that her manager was the one who arranged it all. Grandma keeps clutching her heart as if she may keel over any minute. And now I’m stuck hoping that happens. The fake wife drives me crazy, because she can’t separate her role from her RL. Did she forget she is getting paid to act? And now her mother has spotted her in the hotel. Extremely foreboding. Gosh, there is trouble at every single turn. And what about Se Yeon, when she finds out? Although I am having a hard time sorting out her ulterior motives. Actually, Se Yeon’s two brothers are right in their suspicion; the manager should have known that the family wouldn’t fall for a long-lost grandson showing up. I can understand them. I’m not even rooting for Se Yeon and fake Moon Sung romantically. But wait – there’s more! The banquet, the Real Rhee Moon Sung, and Bae Dong Je – I’m so stressed! I am going to decompress by watching Battle Trip 2 with Yoon Du Joon as a Highlight guest this week (picture to follow in the next post)! Anyone else “enjoying” the drama?

    😅 Close call indeed!
    That banquet next episode!
Why do I think they will actually escape the banquet but Se Yeon will find out. That accident and his Seoul accent was not lost on her. And her smirk, what was that?
    What if she knows?

She certainly suspects all is not as it appears. Perhaps she could forgive that it is for grandma’s sake if she had been in on it all from the beginning, but . . . so much deceit has already gone down.

Plus secretary told her not to trust , rely not get emotionally attached. And she pondered over that sentence for a bit.

You are right. Of all the siblings she would have been more receptive to the idea of giving grandma a peaceful exit.

Thanks for mentioning the Seoul accent, an important piece of info which was lost on me being non-Korean speaking.
What is with this guy? Why was he behind the wheel?

You should try it 🙂 Kang Ha Neul is adorably charming here. And the characters are well written, especially the siblings.

Oh! I don’t mean to discourage anyone from viewing it! The plot is hiring two actors to “fool” grandma in her final days as her last wish – and as Blue said, the acting is great and it really is well written. Hence, the edge-of-the-seat suspense is real!

It’s not you, it’s me! I don’t think I could cope with that level of tension!😅 It’s a show I’ll have to read the recaps for before watching, once it’s no longer live-airing.😁

Everything you’ve said here! I’m liking your re-naming it “Close Call” because that’s certainly what it is at every turn!! Who knows how’ll they’ll get out of that banquet situation, if that’s even possible.

I know, right? The twists are so bad, they’re good! And here we are sitting at the edge of our seats as we wait a whole week to find out what will happen at the banquet!

That would be the place for bad boy (real) Moon-sung to make an entrance. I can’t wait for him to get in the mix. At this point I don’t think he is in the country so that won’t happen. There is plenty of tension already. Count me in on your CLOSE CALL renaming.
