”They say the first kiss for mankind was between God and a human. He made a man out of dust and breathed life into his nostrils. He became a living being. If this Hebrew creation story is true, then it seems life flowed into our soul through a kiss. So how is it that we’ve come to give away our souls to just anybody?

I think this at times: 
At some point, kissing became an easy thing to do. Kissing became something I took for granted. The other person’s mood, restlessness, and breath are signals sent directly to you during a kiss. Your world is supposed to be shaken up at that moment. But why does it not feel like anything, oftentimes?

They say kissing is a behavior that lets you detect another’s genes instinctively. If that’s the case, if it’s a meaningless kiss, is there something wrong in the DNA?

Perhaps the kiss that used to be so sweet and radiant became something you score, evaluate, and judge, and sometimes you leave a boring romance behind. It became just a step on the way to sex. You barely even remember where you kissed and whom, or how you felt in your heart and mind. An everyday romance. At some point, kissing became something I took for granted. It became an easy thing to do.”
