Last Girls Night: all of us from different places, all of us living different lives. Single, partnered, married, divorced, kids, no kids. But group meeting month after month thanks to our love of the library.
We tell each other things, things that we struggle to tell even our own selves all alone. And in this circle, with lots of cheese and ways to make merry, there is love, acceptance, laughter, and affirmation. You, too? we say to each other. And each smile and each nod fells the stones we’ve been carrying in our hearts
Afterwards, I find that I’m just a little bit better at loving myself, thanks to the mirror of these women. “If we knew each other’s secrets, what comforts we would find.”
Love,
