Fan casting: Kim Jung-hyun as Do-ha and Jang Dong-yoon as Sadaham (guy with hair down) in the drama adaptation of The Moon that Rises in the Day. Picturing Kim Jung-hyun with those earrings 😂
I actually did not watch Queen Seondeok so I only heard people raving about Go Hyun-jung’s performance and the character design of Mishil. But after I re-read her Wikipedia page, it made me feel that she needs to star in her own drama after the rich life she led.
I’m just guessing that “Moon Rises..” is inspired by the unofficial historical documents Hwarang Segi. The same material that Queen Seon Deok was based on.
They were teen age lovers unlike what is shown in QSD. I think it would be perfect for a youth romance sageuk.
I’m sorry I misunderstood your comment – I thought you were suggesting a drama idea. 😅 The Sadaham in the story is the same figure from Hwarangsegi but he is more like a supporting character who progresses the story of the male lead Do-ha, rather than an actor with his own arc. The plot mostly centers around Young-hwa, our heroine, trying to right the wrongs of her past self, Hanritah and Do-ha getting revenge for Sadaham. I personally recommend this webtoon if you are looking for politcal schemes and a believable representation of life in Shilla.

I’d love a sageuk about Sadaham and Mishil!

Thank you :). This is the kind of story I’d be very much interested in. I’ll definitely look for it.
