About an hour after I left my interview (which I did make it to on time, yay!) I was called and told that if my references check out that they will be offering me the position. Its about 10 an hour less than I’m used to/worth (in my own humble opinion) and I can already tell that driving home at night is going to be the stuff of nightmares (literally you have to drive through about 20 miles of rolling country side which is super pretty during the day but at night there are no street lights and I’m constantly worried that I’m going to hit a deer one day. Or a cow. And it looks like the setting of a Supernatural episode where the humans were the monsters). But, I can do this for a year. Experience, time to figure WTF went wrong in CO that made me lose my housing in OH and in a year—we’ll see.
Thanks, dear beaniehomies, as always for reading my endless rants and woes.
Like…I’m pretty 100% sure that there will be more in the future but hopefully we’ve turned the corner on these particular rant subjects.
Good to hear Isa!!! I am always pulling for you. That stinks that you aren’t getting paid what you are worth, but it’s a job and they sound like cool people from your other post. Secret mission: to slowly convert them to the world of kpop and kdramas….
hopefully. But, at least my dad isn’t charging me rent. We may more than likely have to move as this isn’t the best neighborhood and there’s a woman (with a gun toting boyfriend) who’s become a bit too fond of my dad. When that happens this happy rent free life may be over.
This is good news isa! Well, I know the part about the pay isn’t good news, but hey, it’ll be a new beginning which may lead to more positive things for you!

I’m hoping that after a trial period raises are possible.
