I’m now on Episode 4 of #TheUntamed! 😱 I got curious and now I’m eagerly watching/waiting for Lan Wang Ji to finally be friends with Wei Wu Xian. Lan Wang Ji seems to have the same tsundere tendencies as Han Shang Yan (#GoGoSquid) which is maybe why I’m drawn to this series. 😅 Also, the shots are gorgeous! 😍 Hopefully, I finish this one! Only 47 episodes to go! 😬
I had based my decision not to read the novel because I just didn’t have time. The other day I read the prologue and decided to put off reading the novel because I felt like it was going to give me spoilers since I was already 30 episodes in. Not sure if that helps or not but glad to see you’ve found something else to enjoy. Lan is my new favorite character here.
It was a good idea to read after watching. I didnt quite understand the first episode because things just happened without much explanation. When I read the chapter, I understood it more clearly. Also, I find myself checking Wiki or MDL ever so often because I can’t keep up with who’s who. Haha I might continue watching then reading if I don’t get it.
I am used to confusion when watching these types of dramas. It’s like Ever Night and Nirvana in Fire, where they introduce so many characters that you can’t keep up. It eventually clicks after a few episodes and The Untamed was not that bad with too many characters.
Yes, the beginning was confusing and I did have to rewind a few times to get what was going on. I did start watching when it subs first became available so I would watch a couple of episodes per day/night. I had even paused this to watch GGS. 😂
Glad you are watching this, @zetteceniza! I am hooked and found myself in the same dilemma!
Couple nights ago I totally binged until 3 AM and then went to bed, picked up the book, and read for another hour 😅
