#theTaleofNokdu

Ep1. Very fun, mysterious storyline, interesting characters, colorful and fast pace.

I jumped in without any clue except that the male lead will be cross-dressing as woman. I don’t even know why. But man, I’m falling for Nokdu. He’s a fighter, he’s smart (almost a genius), yet he’s funny and super good-looking (in both man and woman form). Actor Jang Dong-Yoon is very charismatic on screen and his chemistry with Kim So-Hyun is very cute. Dong-Ju is also very interesting. She could be just another rebelious heroine without her opening scene. It adds a depth into her character. I wonder what she’s up to and where she really stands. Would she be a member of the assassin organization who try to hurt Nokdu’s family? And how do they all connect to the king?

It looks like the king assassinated all of her family and Nokdu will be a child with prophecy of a future great king maybe so the king wanted to kill him instead but didn’t succeed so he gave him to one of his right hand to have him killed but he saved him instead and he’s impatiently waiting for him to appear and because he’s not dead the honour of the family is on line so they need to have him dead if it makes sense… Oh, the scene with the baby was horrifying.

The spent their first night on the day they met, in a prison. What an interesting couple.
