Lee Hyun-wook made his acting debut in 2000 through the short film Repatriation. This was followed by several more short films such as 2008’s The Camel and 2011’s The Out Boxer. His work in the latter won him the Face in Shorts Award at the 10th Asiana International Short Film Festival. In 2014, he landed a minor role in the SBS series Three Days. That same year, he joined the action thriller film The Target. He also became active in the theater scene, appearing in various plays such as True West Returns and Old Wicked Songs in 2016. His work in both stage productions earned him the New Actor Award at the 2016 Stagetalk Audience Choice Awards. In 2019, he played a supporting character in OCN’s Hell Is Other People. In 2020 and 2021, he bagged major roles in the OCN military-thriller Search and the JTBC workplace romance Sunbae, Don’t Put on That Lipstick.
