Na Young-hee made her acting debut in director Lee Jang-ho’s 1981 movie Children of Darkness, in which she won Best New Actress at the 18th Baeksang Arts Awards and the 2nd Korean Film Critics Association Awards. She then bagged Best New Actress at the 21st Grand Bell Awards and Best Actress at the 3rd Korean Film Critics Association Awards for the movie A White Feathered Gull. In 1989, she took home the Most Popular Actress honors at the25th Baeksang Arts Awards for the film Prostitution. In 2009, she landed a main role in the hit MBC series Queen of Housewives, which scored her a Special Acting Award at the MBC Drama Awards. In 2014, she became part of the widely popular SBS fantasy romantic comedy You From Another Star. In 2018, she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the 54th Baeksang Arts Awards for her work in the top-rating KBS2 family drama My Golden Life.


Na Young-hee married a dentist in 2001. In 2015, it was reported that the actress agreed with her husband to divorce.
