Shin Eun-soo was a trainee singer and actress under JYP Entertainment before she made her acting debut in the 2016 film Vanishing Time: A Boy Who Returned. Her performance in the movie earned her the Popular Film Star Award at the 2016 The Night of Stars: Korea Top Star Awards. She was also nominated for Best New Actress at the 22nd Chunsa Film Art Awards and the 54th Grand Bell Awards for her work in the movie. That same year, she played the teenage counterpart of Jeon Ji-hyun’s character in the SBS fantasy romantic comedy Legend of the Blue Sea. In 2018, she reunited with her Vanishing Time: A Boy Who Returned co-star Kang Dong-won in the movie Illang: The Wolf Brigade. Also in 2018, she landed a main role in the MBC family drama Bad Papa, which won her Best Young Actress at the MBC Drama Awards.
