I think people are fairly open about loving Byeon Woo-sook for his Prince Charming qualities.
Personally, I was afraid Kim Hye-yoon was going to be like in the first episodes all the way through, 😃😃😃, but I like the way the role has developed, with more nuance.
I only remember someone at the very start saying she played the one she always played, but I either havne't seen her be torn apart, or I have managed to ignore those comments.

My hope is that it will be like that! I am always down for a romance with drama old school vibes.

Nam Goo's character was treated poorly from start to end...a cheating wife, many regrets, and then sent to nothingness. He was a sincere and good character who deserved better.

Even by the standards of moronic court proceedings the world over, that scene was bonkers.

I loved the OST, too! Especially Superstitions and I Wonder Why, but the Ben song was gorgeous too.

I haven't thought "Hm, bad acting" during this, actually.
But then again, I just finished "Love is like a Cat"-astrophe and if you scroll down my posts about that, you'll see that the exceptionally bad acting in that has pretty much anesthetized me in in regards to any acting that is good enough to be "Hmm, well"-ed or shrugged at.

I'm betting on "Uncle Samsik" with Song Kang-ho and many other non-Netflix dramas with potential. I won't be surprised if Disney+ wins Best Drama or Drama Daesang again next year.

I know right.... I wonder who got drunk and put that godsend drama for BEST SCREENPLAY .... (did they skip that abysmal last episode? That whole courtroom scene is practically one long bad joke....)

Ra Mi-Ran should've win Best Actress though.
