I’ve been a loyal fan of OCN’s Voice series, but Voice 3 ended up being a disappointment. Less focus on the individual crime cases and saving ordinary citizens. The premiere was excellent, but the writing weakened as the show went on.
In the last few episodes, I became more indifferent to the story (except for Chief Na. I liked him in this season). I realized the main villain was not scary to me. Not convincing. His awful backstory was not enough to make me feel much sympathy for him.
I did not have a problem with Lee Jin Wook’s casting. I felt bad for Kang Woo, but his internal conflict was dragged out for too long when I had enough of it in the previous season. My favorite character Kwon Joo had less screentime and focus. I also forgot about Bang Je Soo after his cliffhanger, but his evil character was somewhat more compelling than the ones from this season.
I’m still trying to make my way through series 3. It’s such a shame that they moved away from the individual cases, I loved that kwon joo was in charge of such a huge team and how she solved the cases. I’m disappointed that her screentime has reduced 🙁
