Day 4: Food

Apart from the gif with orange text, I’m proud to say I made my own gifs for this challenge! It was a little tricky figuring out the width and height that would work for db. I decided on 400 width and 250 height.

For this challenge, I wanted to talk about one of my favourite pairings, Dora and Momo from ‘Put Your Head On My Shoulder’. I remember craving watermelon so much during the food battle in ep 4.

In ep 15, I love that we see Dora cooking the stinky snail noodles for momo even though he has to wear a clothes peg and fumigate the house.

Of course it has to be Geum-ja and Hee-Jae! There is so much I loved about Hyena and I’m still broken hearted the show had to end. S2 anyone?

I remembered LOL-ing at this scene. Their personalities aren’t inclined to take selfies but this is gold.

June Challenge
Day 1 – Drama Character

Of course, I need to talk about Scarlett from Search Query: WWW! One of my favourite characters in the drama and I adored the friendship with the other leads Tan-mi and Ga-young.
As you can tell from my icon, I admired Scarlett’s tenacity, bravery and kind heart, an easy character to pick for this challenge!
Although I had issues with the drama, I really appreciated how the writer shone a light on a healthy work environment, the struggle for young and experienced workers, the balance between your career and expectations from society.
It inspired me to be more courageous and be proud of what I’m passionate about and that I can accomplish anything I set my mind to, no matter who says otherwise.

Finished rewatching Delightful Girl Choon-hyang! The Hong sisters should remake folk tales instead of pitching their own original work. I enjoyed watching the snappy exchange between Mong-ryoung and Choon-hyang and how they matured over the course of the drama. It was nice to see a couple having arguments and finding ways to resolve them. One of my favourite apology scenes was on the bridge after Mong-ryong has mislead the parents in law to think Choon-hyang was pregnant. The dates when preparing for the second wedding ceremony, the scenes with the parents in law. The endless running scenes!
A few things that bothered me that we didn’t get a proper explanation to where Choon-hyang’s mother had disappeared to. I also wanted choon-hyang to go back and study or at least accept the father’s decision of paying for her tuition in the early episodes.
I still think Hak-do should have been arrested for framing Mong-ryong or blackmailing Choon-hyang. It wasn’t fair to let him off after he caused so much pain and destroyed the father in law’s career, choon-hyang’s chance of happiness.
Chae-ri knew about the doctored video tape so she should have told Mong-ryong the truth once she was back from the states. The only way I see redemption for her is if she actually invests in choon-hyang’s business in the future.

Aww I’m always glad to see this drama get love!! 😍
This is definitely in my list of top ten best.
It is very true though I always wondered about her mom. Like did something happened in the background of the drama we don’t know about?. Cause there was no explanation for the complete disappearance from the drama.
And I love this song to pieces!!

One of my favorite nostalgic dramas!! Spunky Chunhyang is my favorite and I love their bickering. Izi’s Emergency Room and Jiny’s Come Free are one of the best OSTs out there

We need to see the actors who played Chae-young and Mong-ryong reunite in another romance drama.

Omg this drama was so entertaining. I loved seeing Mong Ryong grow up as a person and learn to be considerate and caring. I hated that they let Hak Do off so easy.

He just crossed all boundaries without a second thought. I had to ignore him so that I would not get angry.

Mr Hak-do, just go home…..
Why are you torturing yourself, how many times do you need to get rejected.

I thought he was just going to stare at them from across the street.. Now he is grabbing whilst she is with Mong-ryong.
Chong hyang, your father has police contacts, there must be a way to get a restraining order.

Good casting ep 7 & 8

I just don\’t understand what is going on…….
Does the writer understand?
Is this going to be one of those shows where everything gets resolved in the final hour?

I’n so done with the fight scenes and handy objects to block doors.

It seems to be heading in that direction. The only good thing about these episodes was that we got a little more insight on Ye Eun and Woo Won and that she finally yelled at him

    1
    1

Yes, I actually enjoyed seeing Ye eun stand up for herself and the overall team dynamics was good, there were a few moments that made me laugh.
I think they need to go back and fix the editing for the rest of the episodes because it feels like three different people wrote the drama.

It gets better when you FF.
It’s quite a waste of time and slow motion.
I’m here for Ye Eun, I don’t really care about the rest.

Yes, I need to remember to fast forward.. I’ve been putting it on in the background whilst doing other chores.

I know this is just a drama and I shouldn’t get so worked up but this pair are awful, the worst people. To think I had 0.000000000001 percent of sympathy in the last episode.

I don’t believe they care for the main characters, they don’t want to lose to someone else.
I am so sick of seeing their faces, they need to go out and find a hobby, some therapy, maybe try having a life…. Hak-do, Chae-rin, face the truth. She/He ‘s just not into you, MOVE ON!!!!!!!!!

OMG I love this drama. I enjoyed watching it so much. The relationship between the leads developed so well. The male lead acted so well

I do love the main couple but I had to take a break from watching today, I might break the screen if I see the second leads again.

Hak- do is such a petty, pathetic man, I can\’t believe he would jeopardise Choon-hyang\’s future all because she was with her ex husband. What were you expecting? Is it a sugar daddy situation?

1
4

I know he is supposed to be the mature, accomplished adult but I think he is a spoiled brat even more than Mong-ryong. He misunderstand the situation, takes it out on choon-hyang and storms off. If he took the time to communicate, he would realise she isn’t betraying him. Also she is still married, he knows she has feelings for mong-ryong, he needs to back off.

Is he the second male lead? I don’t remember his name, I just know that this show had one of the worst second leads EVER!

    2
    1

Yes he is!!!!! The worst second male lead! In this episode he decides on his own to fund her scholarship to university because he found out she was no longer with the husband. She is running around here and there, trying to borrow money for study. The university calls her and tells her she can have the scholarship and to bring the paperwork tomorrow. The husband finds out she is having financial difficulty and wants to help her go to school. He finds her in the bus terminal after hearing the news, they go a drink together to celebrate the scholarship. Stalker hak-do who presumably sees this scholarship as a way to date her, sees them at the bus terminal, stalks them some more. Gets his feelings hurt because she is talking to another man who he knows she is married to and has feelings for. Then he gets prissy and tells them to cancel the scholarship. Choon hyang goes back to the university the next day to get her paperwork sorted, only to be told her scholarship is gone. It is too late to register. He makes my blood boil!

I’ve started to rewatch Delightful Girl Choong-hyang and it is bringing back all the feels. I had forgotten how much I love the soundtrack. Does anyone know the ballad sung during the wedding party?
