Legend of the Blue Sea
Yay: Mermaids; Lee Min-Ho; special effects and scenery
Nay: Angsty last third; bittersweet ending (both giving up everything else to be together is kinda sad)
I Can Hear Your Voice:
Yay: The cool fantasy concept; Lee Bo-Young as Lawyer Jang; Lee Jong-Suk.
Nay: Hmm… that it ended? I loved this one, so I’m not coming up with any negatives
Coffee Prince
Yay: The leads; The Voice; the freshness of the story. A classic for a reason!
Nay: How did Han-Gyul not realize Eun-chan was a girl after all those bear hugs?
Let’s chalk it up to the former since we see her doing that, if I remember correctly. There really is a lot of suspend disbelief with the gender bender ones sometimes. Although, Jung Hye-in in Jugglers would have totally fooled me, at first. She is night and day with short hair v long.
Yay: Concept; special effects; Lee Jong-Suk.
Nay: The story losing its way so drastically in the final third; ending out of place with the rest of the show.
Yes. Two completely different roles. ….. If you want to see him in yet another different role, check him out in Perfect Wife . He’s a cheater, manchild with the personality of a wet rag. You want to smack him.
Finished marathoning Healer last week, and life seems strangely empty now. Talk about a show that had it all – stellar acting, airtight writing, strong directing. A+ all the way!

My bad. I don’t think that there is any gender bending in that one. It’s just that she looks like a guy–to me, at first–with the way she’s portrayed.

Before seeing Secret Garden I didn’t realize just how many sequins could fit on a tracksuit. (Answer: too many)

That tracksuit (and its owner) were a source of laugh for me

I confess to only watching the Oska/Tae Sun scenes, but even then I still managed to see more of that tracksuit than I really wanted to, lol

Ha! The shiny jacket and the male lead’s obsession with it!
Too funny.

And the fact that he was so proud of it, and clueless about how hideous it was!

Just watched the good parts version of Secret Garden thanks to DB recaps. Am I the only one wishing Oska and Tae-Sun had been the main storyline?

There is a 2 hour special that is the drama in movie format basically. It still skips some of the good parts though.

I Hear Your Voice was the only other role I’d seen YSH in, and it was hard to believe it was the same guy as adorkable attorney Cha!

Just finished School 2013 – great show, great cast. Loved the focus on friendship. Now I’m going through Lee Jong-Seok withdrawals D:
