    I can see how obsessed youโ€™re with this โ€˜couple?โ€™ youโ€™re cute. 😂

Will they end up together you think? How will you survive if thatโ€™s not the case?

I believe the only reason they wouldn’t end up together is because either one of them or both will die by the end. I can’t see her surviving ep 20 tbh

And as a writer, if I am unsatisfied with a story, if ranting and writing an essay isn’t enough, then well, I have control over my own stories don’t I?

Yes, absolutely. So youโ€™re indeed a writer. May I ask why you use a lot of capital letters? Is that some kind of stylistic thing? 🤣

Oh did you not know? hahaha well you do now.

            Uh you mEAN LIKE THIS?

Because there are limited ways to express specific intonations, stress, tones of voice and/or voice/facial expression through single font text, and, I either can’t be bothered using the bold or italic htmls, or I think the mood of the comment doesn’t fit them or any of the other similar things I use, like *stars*.
I also see conversing thus as more like an actual conversation, and therefore trying to express how I speak through text is more important- in fictional writing I would not use capitals in the same way. In essays, I might, depending on the piece, because formal essay writing is for chumps.

If I were reading comments out loud there would be slight deviations in tone of voice for the different formats I use for stress.

I also use sPECIFICALLY the chOPPed cAPs to signify sarcasm quite often.
And These Kinds Of Caps as a different kind of stress and emphasis, and also to play into the idea of Proper Nouns and how that can be used basically, comedically in writing.

But also- it’s just fun. ๐Ÿ˜›

I also think- (you can correct me if I’m wrong, I’m not the most unbias audience of myself)- I think it makes my writing more fun to read.
If you can hear more expression and voice, I think it keeps people interested and engaged.
And I should hate to be boring ๐Ÿ˜‰

You’ve got me wanting to analyse exactly where I use it and the why of each case now HAHAHAH (- there to show exuberance and a hearty laugh ofc… careful too much analysis could ruin the effect kekeke)

@sicarius You, and your writing are indeed interesting Sic. I asked about the capital letters ’cause I also think it made me become more interested in your comments. And yes, it had ThOSe effects on me as a reader as well. I analyze English as my work, so I find this very interesting. Who knows.. I might write about this in my paper in the future. I hope you’ll be kind enough to offer me some insights then. ^^ I also thought it was for fun, now it seems to have quite interesting academic implications.

I should take a screenshot of your explanation… would you mind?

And if I actually write about this topic, I’ll also give the credit to you so don’t worry. ^^

Hi!!! Sorry for late reply! I wanted to go into this more because I actually also find it really interesting but I was super tired last night when I saw your reply and needed to go to bed and spent most of today in a daze lol.

“You, and your writing are indeed interesting Sic.”-
            Awww, why thank you hehehe
“I hope youโ€™ll be kind enough to offer me some insights then. “-
Yes absolutely! I love talking about writing haha.
“I should take a screenshot of your explanationโ€ฆ would you mind?”-
Not at all! I would be honoured to be used as a source for and credited in an academic paper lmao!
May I ask what kind of work you do?

I was thinking about this a lot more, especially how I use bold in comparison to italics and capitals.
I think I tend to use bold as more of a formatting tool- because itโ€™s the easiest way to make sections, headings, titles or parts of a list clear and distinct.
Italics on the other hand I use for when I want to emphasize the specific importance of something, rather than JUST a tone of voice change. Itโ€™s a different kind of stress than capitals, which I tend to use the most often and to indicate general changes in emphasis and tone of voice.
I rarely use bold for either, but when I do itโ€™s to indicate when something is the MOST important; the thing I absolutely donโ€™t want people to miss, something I want to make sure people definitely read or see.
Thus, bold is for most important, italics for more important, and capitals for general.
(an example of where I use all three would be my TCC final essay: https://www.dramabeans.com/members/sicarius/activity/734770/)

A lot of this is also related to โ€œInternet Speakโ€ as it were, the vocabulary and syntax and the way in which we have developed new language and formatting techniques in order to convey certain ideas across the internet.
I know I have picked up a lot of idiosyncrasies in my writing from my extensive internet usage, especially from tumblr. I donโ€™t even have tumblr but yeah.

Oh also, I donโ€™t know how long youโ€™ve been following my posts for but if you wanted to check out more of my actual fictional writing in comparison, then thereโ€™s this:
            part 1:https://www.dramabeans.com/members/sicarius/activity/1080572/
            part 2: https://www.dramabeans.com/members/sicarius/activity/1086508/
            part 3: https://www.dramabeans.com/members/sicarius/activity/1100307/
the formatting of the first issue is a bit wonky but I got it more regulated by the next two.
(If youโ€™ve read that already then feel free to ignore lol)

I teach at a university and what Iโ€™m doing now (PhD which seems like an impossible mission to accomplish) seems to provide a lot of opportunities for doing research on a number of topics. Iโ€™m interested in language teaching, and something related to linguistics and language in use. This is actually the first time I experience seeing someone on the internet having her VErY own writing style with which everyone seems to be ok.

I only published 1 though a couple of years ago, but this is just in case. 😉 These days Iโ€™m so super busy I canโ€™t explain in words, but youโ€™ve provided me with something interesting so Iโ€™m looking forward to the time when Iโ€™m free enough to start delving into this a bit more.

Youโ€™re so kind and I appreciate this.

@db-staff this is the second bot spam comment I have had on this post of mine, they changed their handle, deleted the old comment and posted another one.
