Not really. It’s still boring, the characters are still childish and 2-dimensional, the writing is still lazy and and unoriginal, and the comedy still relies on obscene stereotypes. I FF most of the episodes and really only watch because KYJ.
At this point, after watching multiple JCW shows, I’m convinced that I just don’t like him very much as an actor (I’ve watched Healer, Suspicious Partner, The K2, and Melting Me Softly; the only one of these show I liked was Suspicious Partner). He’s pretty, but that’s about it.

If episode 1 through 4 of Backstreet Rookie didn’t convince you that the show trades in anti-black racist stereotypes, surely episode 5 is proof.

aha!!
i thought i was the only one..
seen him in healer, suspicious partner, k2,and now this.. i don’t think he is a good actor.. mediocre at best
