Joo Ji-hoon (Devil, Goong) is debuting on the musical stage in a production of Don Juan. Last seen in the movie Antique Bakery, the 27-year-old Joo promises to show a “whole new side of me that hasn’t been seen in dramas or movies.” That shouldn’t be hard, since we’ve never seen him sing or dance the flamenco before.
He’ll alternate the role alongside musical actors Kim Da-hyun and Kang Tae-eul, and while Korean actors will take the acting roles, the dancing will be performed by 13 Spanish flamenco dancers, including Maria Lopez and Ricardo Lopez, who led the version of Don Juan that premiered in Montreal in 2004.
In addition to the musical, Joo has a movie that’s preparing for release on February 5, the melodrama Kitchen which co-stars his Devil castmate Shin Mina. The musical will premiere on February 6 and run through March 8.

Mmmm…. like the way he mixes it up….Very low key preppy clothes with a really edgy hair style …makes him look sexy and cool. The ring on his forefinger is an interesting touch.
Does any one know how the box office for Antique Bakery go? I hope it will be a success.
Joo is maturing; very nice. I do miss his “neat(-freak,) cool prince” image.
i didn’t like him in Goong but in ‘Mawang’ he totally zapped me and he’s getting hotter with the tan skin and stuff..I’d love to do the sexy flamenco with him!! *faintz*!!

If Spanish classes are needed to make the Don Juan a bit more flair… AQUI ESTOY YO….
As I know, “Antique” has ended theatre-time with total box office about 1,200,000 admissions ($5,608,515) – Big success for a Movie, marked as movie for Teenage. Hope to see the DVD version soon.
And… there’s something I must correct:
The “Kitchen” movies and the Y.Banana’s novel are unrelated. They just have the same name. And more, the full name of the movie is “The Naked Kitchen”.
