Nam Sang-mi in January’s Sure magazine

Nam Sang-mi can be currently seen rocking the retro in the ’60s-’70s-’80s drama Light and Shadow, but she’s back to modern for Sure magazine’s January issue, which is where these photos come from.

Apparently this Sure spread takes a cue from her showbiz-set drama by taking the theme “The show must go on”… which I can’t see anywhere, frankly. These magazine shoots hardly ever really make sense of their supposed concepts, but I don’t know that you can cull “showbiz” from anything in it. It could just as easily have been called “romantic lovely lady” or another of those random string of adjectives the ladymags like to string together haphazardly. (You know: “Classic tousled elegant.” “Funky elegant bohemian.” “Shiny happy people holding hands.”)

The accompanying interview features Nam Sang-mi answering questions about beauty tips and her actor boyfriend Lee Sang-yoon, whom she began dating after being coupled with onscreen in Life Is Beautiful. Lucky girl. Then again, I do have a huge soft spot for Nam Sang-mi, so maybe it’s lucky guy.

I love her. Her smile is the cutest thing ever. She is one of those girls that looks like the girl next door but still be able to look sexy when she wants.

I hope she will be able to shine brighter in the future. Her talents are there but it is not recognize enough.

Aha! I had seen her in that amazing drama "Time Between Dog and Wolf" ~ ~ I like her <3

I have liked her for a long time, since Sweet Spy, she was really great. Her character was charming, funny and you wanted her to win!

I also like Lee Sang Yoon and when I discovered they were together I thought he was a really, lucky guy. I hope it works for them, people deserve to be happy!

she's one of those few actresses i really adore... i always feel she's under rated... she can act very well and her beauty is something that grows on you the more you look at her... and she can manage to look elegant and sexy while having a refreshing feel (like in these pics)...not many actresses can pull it off like her... and i simply support her relationship with LSY... they are both beautiful and talented and they deserve each other... i wish to hear wedding bells for them and lots of be dimpled babies in the near future... :) :) :)
