Oh Snap! Hidden Identity’s hidden message teaser

Hm, I guess they were going for cryptic? The first teaser is out for the new crime thriller drama Hidden Identity, and I don’t know any Morse code, but… I think your hidden message is not so hidden? I actually like the effect, not that it tells me anything about the drama. Or yunno, shows me Kim Bum’s face! WHO WOULD WANT THAT?

The new tvN Monday-Tuesday drama stars Kim Bum as an ex- SEAL and SWAT team member who joins a super-secret squad of elite undercover detectives, along with Park Sung-woong (Fatal Encounter), Yoon So-yi (IRIS 2), and Lee Won-jong (Secret Door). And it comes from the PD of OCN’s Bad Guys, so expect some grit with that crime.

Hidden Identity follows Let’s Eat 2 in June.

Makes it quite sad, that somebody got a whole lot of money for getting the idea so spell the airing date in morse code :(

I see tvN is going the OCN way with this. No surprise, given it's their sister-channel under momma CJ E&M. Except OCN actually has something to show around the logo in these early teasers.

I mean, cool logo, but nobody is signing up for the visual design p0rn here, let's be honest.

I have to laugh. Won't he have to be a US citizen to join the Marines the SEAL team? It would have been better if he was in the Korean marines. Goodness.

What's wrong with the Korean marines? Have you guys seen the photos floating around of their winter training?

And then the character can be a sniper as well without adding the SWAT part in. Can you tell that sometimes I believe that you don't have to make everything American just to make the character seem more impressive? No offence intended since I know this site is based in the US and all.

It's just that the Korean drama writers love throwing the American experience into the plots. As if the Korean counterparts are not good enough to use.

Idk maybe it's because the average person could never afford to study overseas etc so it sounds great to them?

I don't know. I actually have great respect for the Marines and to make it American just because there are a lot of Koreans there?

Or like the fact that when dramas have a time jump they are either off to the US or France.

Cute and all but note that I'm being patient because you will give me Park Sung-woong. I want to trust you, crypticness and all. (But seriously the teasers for the upcoming batch have mostly left me cold. This is sort of neat and is fittingly vague acc. to genre)
