I used to be on Ravelry much more, but the DB community became my new online haunt. I know @lollypip is there too, and a few others, but I don’t think I’ve done more than lurk on the boards or find patterns in the last year or so.
While I don’t normally condone the stifling of free speech and expression of opinions, the toxicity of some was making Ravelry feel unsafe for some minority and LGBTQ designers and users. I assume it was also becoming near impossible to sift through and police harassing and discriminatory boards and comments. Therefore I understand, respect, and stand by the stance the Ravelry team has taken during this odious time.
The fiber craft community, as well as society as a whole, has issues, but this is a step in the right direction.
