Atleast the female lead is not dumb or a candy. She is a passionate game developer (i think!).
I expected this to be bad, but surprisingly watchable. Not a fan of Sung Hoon acting though (never have been).
The second male lead is unnecessary (it feels so).
I think this is a good timepass drama without much thinking. Surprisingly not toooo many tropes or silly meetings.
I love fluff dramas for when I’m mentally exhausted and this really seems to fit the bill. Plus, I have liked the female lead in all the things I’ve seen her in. As for Sung Hoon – he should stick to secondary characters like he was in Oh My Venus and Faith; I don’t love him as the cold chaebol type and I have a bit of trouble buying him as the geeeeeenius CEO. But he is pretty, so I can probably overlook that so long as the drama doesn’t try to hard to be serious and is just a fun fluffy ride.
Yeah, Baro’s character feels completely random. Like they just plunked him in there to serve as a stand-in until the (presumed) OTP can figure their lives out from a romantic perspective.
I am not going to be roped into another MBN drama this year after watching bad rom-coms Best Chicken, and Rich Man, Poor Woman
But who knows, maybe this time it will be good.
I dropped it after 20 min. It didn’t grab my interest…but I think I was irritated by the lead male when he played in Noble, My Love and I don’t want to go through that again.
So far it’s ok. I’m waiting until episode 4 to make a final judgment. Idk if Baro’s character is supposed to be the 2nd love interest but if he is he is sorely lacking. I mean that as a character, not his acting.
I don’t know if I would call if fluffy and dumb but it seems to be light fare.

Anyone out there watching Level Up?
Curious to know people’s thoughts thus far (despite being pretty early in).

So far, it is. I did start it for Sung Hoon, but Danny Ahn is unexpectedly funny, and Baro is cute.

I’m kind of leaning this way too. The first episode fell kind of flat for me, and the humor feels a bit inconsistent.
