🎶Love is the Moment🎶
… you slam her against a concrete wall and she stands there, pinned and clearly terrified, while she endures your assault.
So romantic!

Gross. This is when some martial arts training would come in handy.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure this is the one where they purposefully forgot to tell PSH that this was coming, to get a more ‘realistically’ scared reaction. Blurghhh

That’s awful. I hate it. I hate every part of it.

I just watched and episode of Prosecutor’s War, where someone who was forcefully kissed, filed for sexual assault. Just because in this case there were cameras rolling, doesn’t make it any less horrible for PSH. Even more so I’d argue. And, knowing this, whenever someone whinges about her lack of kissing skills, I feel like manning a barricade on her behalf.

Just compare it to the lovely bts footage of INAR where two actors discuss what level of physical contact the other would be comfortable with, and you can see that this was a complete break of trust between the two leads.

Every time I complain about skinship in dramas and how weird and antiseptic and asexual everything is, I remember that the alternative is possibly female actors beings forced into scenes they’re not comfortable with – and with men who are revealed to be rapists on, like, a daily basis.

I’ve just been watching some of the excellent second season of Sex Education and that has lots of sex scenes and physical intimacy and nudity in it. But they use an intimacy coordinator on that to ensure everyone feels comfortable. But I imagine, with the shooting schedules that Kdrama have, there will be pressure to skip that and just force the actors to do what the director wants whether they’re comfortable or not.

Considering the way that PSH responds to all her love scenes, I can’t help thinking she’s generally uncomfortable with it. Is it possible that her work on Heirs is the reason why?

Based on my very limited acting experience (which I wrote about here http://www.dramabeans.com/members/cloggie/activity/803077/ ) it wouldn’t surprise me at all.

I found the “love story” so very little real, and PSH suffering on every scene she shares with LMH. I think her character is so intimidated by this bully. Really, I still don’t know how I managed to finish this drama. I guess I hadn’t discovered the FF button. It would have prevented so much agony.

No, it’s not that one. That comes a little later.

My mistake – not having watched the drama, I didn’t know that there was more than one forced kiss. Should have known better

Yes but this was part of the script and that wasn’t.idk why why why is this even a thing but unfortunately it is still done. In fact I think it was quite a thing back in 2013 and that time. Recently i saw it in a Chinese drama Go Go Squid where both male and female leads did that to each other in two scenes and people were squeeing. I get it, they are friends, that still doesn’t mean they can do that, well that wasn’t raken any seriously but it’s still not good.

Been a while since I watched that. Hated it, never finished – mostly due to scenes like that.
