Probably an unpopular opinion but I now see why I originally dropped Love O2O last year. The romance on paper is cute and sweet but the main couple are the most boring people ever, with no chemistry between the actors. Not only do you get a Mary Sue but also a Gary Stu. He is perfect and boring and she is perfect and bland. Two perfect, beautiful people getting together because it seemed the thing for them to do.
Only 4 episodes left so I’ll finish it up atleast.
She really had some spunk and personality until she met him.
It was nice that there was no misunderstandings etc, but she definitely looked bland.
He was good looking (For me), so atleast it was eye candy.
Yang Yangs attractiveness was what kept me through the drama. I mean have you seen them kiss. That man had to do all the job while she just stood there like deer in headlights. I mean a soft toy might elicit better reaction than her 🤦🏻♀️
UGH! He is going to town and putting all this effort in and she just stared off into space with an almost confused look. I honestly had no idea what the actress was supposed to be emoting because her reaction was so incredibly bizarre.
Love O2O should really be watched when you don’t want to think and see a (too) flawless relationship with two perfect people. I got tired towards the end and the male lead left me with a huge impression as a not so good actor.
The leads in the movie adaptation seemed more human. They just had… well, personalities. I really wanted to see the ML (movie version) in the drama instead.
I actually plan to watch the movie next as my friend did say it was better then the drama. The romance and everything seems sweet and cute, I just can’t get behind how insanely boring the lead couple are.
And I also didn’t like Yang Yang (ML) as an actor. But he was able to turn my opinion around after I watched King’s Avatar (there are better actors out there though). I also don’t like the FL actress either.
Count me in! I always thought I dropped Love O2O because of I didn’t understand nor like the gaming aspect. Actually I still don’t know what it’s about. If I am watching a romance, at least one party must hook me in first. It doesn’t always have to be the guy. But eventually both have to click.
In this case, neither leads work with me. She’s beautiful, he’s handsome. Period.
You know @trinpie I dare not tell you that I can’t get into The King’s Avatar because of Yang Yang. He doesn’t repulse me of course. I acknowledge he’s very good looking and one of those who you’d find it hard to get an ugly photo or wrong angle type, if you know what I mean. But I tried watching him in Avatar, I just didn’t last long enough for him to change my opinion. So I resigned myself to being the minority who can’t appreciate him. I’d take my gremlin anytime.
I didn’t like him until King’s Avatar and it was specifically because of Love O2O (as it was the only drama I had seen him in). Granted, there are better actors out there but he still did a good job in KA. I personally don’t find him attractive and I’m not sure why others do lol
And it’s fine if you don’t watch King’s Avatar 😀 Not every drama is for everyone!
it’s ok. I didn’t find any chemistry between the leads of Love O2O either. Which is why I was so hesitant to give C-Dramas another try. Then “Put your head on my shoulder” happened, and I am now reassured that Love O2O was just a very very bad 1st.

Ya, her personality basically turned into doing what he said with bits of shyness and awkwardness thrown in.
Sadly I don’t find Yang Yang (main actor) attractive so I don’t even have that to enjoy 😢

that kiss gives me nightmares up till today. I talk about it ALL the time as THE worst on-screen kiss of all time.

Put Your Head On My Shoulder was adorable with awesome chemistry between the leads ❤️ And both of them actually had personalities unlike Love O2O.
