I\’m currently 15 episodes into Fake Princess and I\’m really enjoying this drama ❤️ I just saw Eleanor in My Love, Enlighten Me which got me interested in seeing this drama, and she is just as great in this. Her character is strong, smart, independent and loyal. Her ML is adorable, kind, and trusting and perfectly played by Zhao Yi Qin. I’ve never seen him in a drama before but he is also a very talented actor. But their romance is so sweet and even though some drama worked its way into their romance both characters chose to trust each other and their love. I even like the side characters and their romances. The drama overall is sweet and fun with a super adorable OTP that I highly suggest. I mean, look at them!

I’ve watched Fake Princess to episode 5 and I agree it’s a enjoyable watch as female lead is so clever and make lead is a total mushir and trusts easily which is a good thing here! But, this drama didn’t make me loose my sleep to bone watch or anything so it’s just a way watch. I started watching this drama as I liked the ML in Salute to my youthv and FL in My love, enlighten me.

I want to start watching ML new drama My Girl with his past co-star of salute to my youth. It started studying recently and some episodes are there on YouTube.

Oh it’s not my favorite drama out there but it’s still really fun and enjoyable! And I love both the main characters (and actors) so that helps!

I was looking forward to My Girl because I thought it was a gender reversal (she was the CEO he is her personal assistant) but he is the CEO and she has mental health issues and I lost interest when I learned that. But after seeing this I think I’ll give it a go for the ML.

Day 15: Best Drama Villain

This was really hard for me because I was trying to decide between a villain who is logically the better villain, and the other who is one of my favorite characters but not necessarily the better villain. Unsurprisingly both antagonists have a similar trajectory so I clearly have a villain type. But I ultimately went with the illogical choice because I love his character so much and that is Runyu from Ashes of Love.

His character is more than him being the antagonist, he had a full and heartbreaking story. His trajectory from being the sweet and patient Night Deity, to actively working against his brother the main character makes sense. He wasn\’t evil for the sake of being evil. He starts out caring and loving his younger brother, but due to the way he is treated, and some horrific and horrible situations he is put through, he turns bitter and hateful. These events jade him and turns him into someone who will fight tooth and nail for the last thing he feels he deserves, the kind woman who showed him compassion and caring. But even that isn\’t his and by the end he has turned her into an idea of salvation he is desperate not to lose. He may have been the villain but he broke my heart.

Honorable Mention: Kimura Shunji from Gaksital

    🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
I actually found him pitiful more than ‘evil’….. The only thing I wasn’t impressed with was how he used Jin Mi to kill Xu Feng, and then tried to justify it ☹️☹️☹️☹️ The confrontation scene between Run Yu & Jin Mi, though sad, is actually one of my favourite parts of the entire drama. I never questioned whether he loves her or not—I really believe that he does— but his love took a backseat to his own resentful heart the moment he used Jin Mi into manipulating the whole marriage situation in front of Water God and the moment he cooked up the plan to use Jin Mi to kill Xu Feng 😱

    4
    1

He’s definitely an antagonist but he was never ‘evil’. And he definitely did bad things which is why he was an antagonist. And yes by the end he was more in love with the idea of her than in love with her. He had built up in his mind what it would mean if she loved him and I think he loved that more than her. He felt like he could only achieve happiness through her.

Day 14: Most Underrated Drama

It’s a crime that Mother didn’t get more recognition then what it got. It was a beautiful and heart wrenching drama about the love between mothers and daughters. Hye-Na may not have been Soo-Jin’s biological daughter, but that didn’t stop her from loving her just as deeply and risking everything to save and protect her. And not just this relationship, but the relationship between Soo-Jin and her mother was beautifully heartbreaking. The whole drama was brilliantly written, directed and acted and I highly suggest everyone go watch this amazing drama.

It is fascinating how adorable and sweet this drama is. I mean it’s such a simple show, but the romance clicks so we’ll. I wanted more. It doesn’t even have a big budget, but they made it work. 👏👏👏

(I am not sure though if I can watch another BL drama like this. I want something more next time.)

            Exactly how I feel!
The actors fit their roles so well. Bright and Win made the simple romance work <3 I got hooked after seeing the first episode. The OSTs are good, too. I love Wat's voice ;A: and when Tine starts singing with him? Ah~ my heart. I want more of this as well. Hope we get another BL with the same vibe.

(@drawde2000 – I agree. While I love the drama, I do think that at points it needs to show more. Like, they’re at a point when a kiss is natural, but they just hug. It’s unsatisfactory imo)

I felt like I was watching a different show whenever the OTP was not on. I didn’t like it

Ahn Min Hyuk remained as one of my favourite male leads tho! He was just soooooo swoony and his eyes were dripping with honey 🤩

    7
    2

That was the issue, the writing was so disjointed and terrible. The gangsters, the poorly written gay man (whose sexuality was just a joke), the jarring genre shift to the psychopath, the 2MLs whole identity was being a cop and had no personality outside of that, and the constant bathroom humor.

AMH was a gem though ❤

      7

Ahn Min Hyuk! Honestly if it wasn’t for the OTP I would have probably hated this drama.

Yep agree to everything you said. Also, I went into to this show ready to have a severe second male lead syndrome because of Jisoo, but Jisoo totally under performed in this drama. I want to forget he was in this drama. And every single episode I fell for Ahn Min Hyuk.

I loved SWDBS, but I’ve seen a lot of Beanies saying it was problematic. I wonder if it’s because the good parts outshone the bad for me or if it’s because the bad parts did not register with me. Either way I need to think.

Day 11: Worst Kiss

This is an easy one because every kiss from Love O2O was nightmare inducing, especially the first kiss. What confuses me about the kisses is her expressions don’t match what she is supposed to be emoting. In their first kiss they are already dating but she looks like she is in pain mixed with confusion, like why is this man I’m dating kissing me. You later find out she was embarrassed but the actress (who is a pretty awful actress) failed miserably in showing that. And sadly she looks this horribly awkward in every scene 🙄 it doesn’t help that I hate this drama and only finished it because I was hate watching it.

Since I don’t want to be alone in my misery I’ll kindly allow everyone else to view this nightmare inducing kiss.

Honorable Mention: Almost every Park Shin Hye kiss

Day 10: Favorite Kiss

This would be every kiss in Witch\’s Romance. This was my first ever Park Seo-Joon drama so I didn\’t know how talented this man\’s mouth could be until later *cough*. But I rewatched so many kiss scenes in this drama, especially the spilled beer, lick kiss. I love passionate, well-done kisses and this hit the spot. I love this drama but I don\’t remember a lot of the drama outside of the kisses 😅 one thing that really stood out to me was a lot of dramas at the time only showed wooden, press yours lips sedately together kisses. So I was shockingly surprised when they showed so much passion on the screen. I think it\’s time to rewatch some kiss scenes 😚

I have been staring, transfixed you could say at the first kiss and for the first time I am realizing that he licks her too! How did I NEVER notice that before? I was so focused on her sexy little lick that I never–not even once–noticed that he was doing a sexy little lick at the same.

now seeeee… this is NOT the kind of (chemistry) kiss Sae Ro Yi gave Yi Seo in Itaewon Class… i was very disappointed.

Day 9: Favorite Secondary Couple

This definitely is Cha Hyeon and Seol Ji-hwan from Search WWW. I loved this relationship more than the main OTP. I already had a major girl crush on Scarlett so when she went all adorably fangirl on Ji-Hwan I couldn\’t help but fall even more in love with her. And I loved that SJH was so sweet towards Scarlett. What started out as thankfulness at her help and dedication, slowly turned into a sweet romance. I could watch a whole drama of these 2 being adorable together.

It also managed to introduced the very talented Lee Jae-wook to me. ❤

Day 8: Worst NOPT

(THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS)

This was a really easy one because I don’t think any OTP can be worse than Ling Yi Zhou and Xia Lin from Well Intended Love. This was not a romance but a horror pretending to be a romance. This drama felt like the biography of an abused woman and was really disturbing to watch.

The ML Ling Yi Zhou is super controlling, manipulative, and emotionally abusive. He tries and succeeds to control and exert his power over the FL countless times throughout the drama. Xia Lin is an aspiring actress who has only been able to get small side roles so far, but she finally gets her break to play a large role in an upcoming drama. But Yi Zhou doesn’t like how close she is to her co-actor, so out of jealousy and a powerful need to control her, he uses his influence and power to get the drama shut down, ruining her big break. Since she is an aspiring actress she didn’t want to go public with her relationship, fearing to be the center of gossip since he is a powerful and popular CEO. But he goes behind her back and manipulates things to “accidentally” reveal to the world they are married. At another point he (of course) gets amnesia and is cruel and awful to her since he can’t remember this is the woman he loves.

But all this isn’t even the worst part. The worst part is the whole premise of the drama. The drama starts by her finding out she has lymphoma and discovers the only compatible bone marrow donor is him. So she confronts him asking if he would be willing to be a donor and save her life. He leads her on a merry chase before agreeing with the added stipulation that they enter a marriage contract because it is his dying grandmothers wish that he marry before she passes. This is all fine, until you discover later on that she never had cancer, he used his power and influence to fake she had cancer and he was the only donor to get her to marry him. This was beyond horrifying. What normal human being makes the person you like have fake cancer as a ploy to date and marry? He is this powerful CEO who could have any woman he wants but it never crossed his mind to simply talk to her and get to know her. On top of all this, when she sensibly tries to break up with him, he locks her in the house so she won’t leave him. Do yourself a favor and don’t watch this drama.

Normally I post pictures to accompany my posts, but I don’t want to mar my wall by posting images of this drama.

Honorable Mentions: Playful Kiss

Glad I dodged the bullet there and didn’t have to go through all that experience myself. I only had to hear this story told from one beanie to another and another and another to get the hint that this is not the drama to touch on. 🙈🙈 I wish writers have respect for women when they form these fantasies in their head…… Women shouldn’t fall for these kinds of scumbags.

    2

I remember someone posting about this before and I was just like – WTF? This cannot be an actual romantic story. I was sure it must be some kind of stalker thriller. Lord. This is why I can’t do CDramas as much – I feel like a lot of the contemporary ones devolve into this kind of f*ckery (not this bad, but in the same vein).

Day 7: Favorite OTP

One of my favorite OTP would have to be Han Ji Hoon and Kang Hye Soo from Marriage Contract. What started as a marriage of convenience and personal gain, turned into a heartbreakingly beautiful romance. She needed someone who could take care of her daughter when she passed and he needed a donor for his mother. The love that blossomed between him and her and also between Han Ji Hoon and his stepdaughter was lovely. And even though he comes to learn that the woman he is falling desperately in love with is dying, it doesn\’t stop him from staying with her, because even that small amount of time is better than not having any time at all. They experienced heartache, pain, love and happiness together and both had the courage to give it their all and not let the future hold them back from happiness.

\”I don\’t know how much time is granted to us. It could be a year and it could be a month. It\’s possible that it could be tomorrow, too. But as for me, I will live without the likes of regret anymore. Hence, there is only one thing I can do now. I love you, Hye Soo-ya. I love you. I love you. Without a minute or a second\’s rest, I love you.\”

I\’m only 5 episodes in but I\’ll Find You When The Weather Is Nice is such a beautiful and pleasant drama that gives me such deep feelings of warmth and comfort. It has a low-key story with not much drama or conflict, which isn\’t the type of drama I typically gravitate to, but it\’s so soothing. I love Eun Seob, and as @pinklolipop aptly put it, he is like a warm blanket. He is awkward and sweet and is quietly there for Hae Won. He stands by her side without expecting anything in return or pushing her. A quiet pillar of warmth and comfort. The drama knows how to create a mood as whenever I watch I want to grab a book, a hot cup of hot chocolate and curl on a couch with a blanket in his cozy bookstore. I really recommend this heartwarming drama and hope it continues being this enjoyable.

Day 6: Favorite Femald Lead

This was an easy choice for me because Wei Yingluo from Story of Yanxi Palace is such an awesome FL. The drama follows the life of Yingluo from her entering the palace as a lowly maidservant in search for answers to her sisters death, to becoming one of the most powerful and influential women in the country. I absolutely love this drama as it is all about the women, and especially the kickass Yingluo. Even though many people (especially the other consorts) plot against her, or those she cares about, she manages to use her incredible intelligence and wits to outmaneuver them and come out on top. She will have setbacks or she will fall to others plots, but that doesn\’t stop her from striving forward. There were many times her actions or plots had me fist pumping when she came out victorious. She is extremely intelligent, loyal, wily kind, driven, vicious, powerful and awesome.
