This is cool. Is Chocolate a popular show? I recognize Kim Jung-eun - she was in Lovers in Paris, right? - but I'm not familiar with the show. Has she been acting lately, or has show host been her primary career for the past few years?

@ Molly - she only been doing the show of late...I haven't see her do anything since Lovers in Paris....

Has the title of Korea's Little Sister moved onto Kim So Eun? Or Park Shin Hye? I wonder who's the next contender for the title, now that she's said she feels too old to be called that.....

Kim Jung Eun did "Lovers" and she's also done "General Hospital2" since "Lovers in Paris". She might have done more but I can't recall right now.

I don't know if "Chocolate" is a popular show in Korea but if I was visiting Seoul - I would totally love to be in the audience for a taping!

after 2004's 'lovers in paris', kim jung eun also did a few dramas such as princess lulu (2005), lovers (2006, the third of the 'lovers trilogy' after 'lovers in paris' and 'lovers in prague') and 'general hospital 2'. she and her boyfriend lee seo jin (co-star in 'lovers') broke up back in 2008.

Even though WG are also called the Nation's Little Sisters, I thought it was also more of Sohee since the Omona craze and being placed as the most influential idol at #2 in top 100 in 2008 and somewhere in top 10 in 2009. Those mandoo cheeks are loved nationally.

Yeah I'm pretty sure Shim Eun-kyung is considered the Nation's Little Sister currently, though some would say that Nam Ji-hyun (Queen Seondeok, Will it Snow for Christmas?) is a close contender since she's had a great year. SEK is really talented and probably is one of the best actresses of her generation. I think I've heard her being compared as the next Shim Eun-ha somewhere.

I've always thought the title was whoever everyone decided was the most talented child actor/actress...the female equivalent of the Nation's Little Brother (Yoo Seung-ho)...though you might be right...I don't know my K-idols that well.

Edit: I guess it should be the Nation's Next Little Sister :) Actually I don't know if SEK or NJH could ever have the same pull that MGY had with the public. The fact that her name carried more weight then KRW when Little Bride came out...I don't know if another child actress has that same type of affection from the public.

MGY's still THE nation's little sister. The only one that's bigger is Kim Yuna, but she's not an actress or a pop star. Yet. ;)

hmm..i;m not sure about MGY being "cute" I'm sorry to the fans of her. but to me, she's not particuarly standing out to me. it' s hard to explain, how ever my thoughts may change, it just depends..

Wouldn't it mean that talent alone doesn't decide who gets the title? Let's say there's an actress that's really talented, but there's another that's less talented but has gained complete love from the nation. Wouldn't the lesser talented one have a higher chance of gaining the title? So it's the amount of love/admiration/etc received that decides who gets the title?

Than again, what exactly qualifies one to receive these titles?

Like Oh Young Shil gained the title the "Nation's Aunt" from her strong impression as Jung Gyo Bin's Aunt, Jung Ha Neul, in Wife's Temptation.

And than there's the Nation's Fairy... and etc. It's like all these people should gather at an event. "The Nation's Family".

If MGY is getting old for the title, she can just take the "Nation's College Student". "Nation's Elder Sister" is too old... so since she's at the age of a college student she can use that title til she's in her 30's and take the Elder Sister role. Than in her 40's... nation's aunt.. than 50 it's nation's mother... than 60 is nation's grandmother....

I really love Moon Geun-Young since I had been watching her in that movie "Innocent Steps", "My Little Bride", & that drama - "Autumn's Tale" - hmm!

Oh my gosh -- She's already older than me? Lolz. I thought I was older than her but it isn't! Ahh, she is older than me about, like, 3 years, ouch. So....It's all right with me, heh.
