This is a totally shocked news that i'm not expecting to receive on my morning news..
I just read news he will join YEH for new drama..
now with this tragic news..i really just can't believe it..

I know JB also in a big shocked..this guy capture our heart with story of a man aka slingshot..first ever drama that i watched him act.. and he left with a good drama and memory to me..R.I.P to Park Yong Ha...You will always be in my mind..

This is really unexpected! Suicide! I really had wished it wasn't that. I feel extremely sad for his mother. Not only did her son committed suicide, her husband is on his last stage of cancer. :( I hope her all the best.

This is such a terrible news. I just read about his project with Yoon Eun Hye yesterday and then I read this one this morning! I am getting goosebumps all over.

As followers, we can never really tell what's going on in their mind. With the good reviews of The Story of a Man, his success in Japan and the upcoming project with YEH, this is totally unexpected. This just proves that there is much more behind the smiles that they show to their fans.

I do hope that he will be the last. Maybe it's time for their industry to start acknowledging that this is an actual problem and find a solution for it. Start a counseling group session for the stars or something.

To the producers of the drama, I am quite disappointed with their reaction. Is money making more than a lost life?

So sad, human life is so precious. My mother in law has last stage cancer, she feels pain and torture everyday and she stills want to live for her family. Why he ended his life so easily? Leaving a sick father and a suffering mother. Hopefully she manages to survive this sadness and nightmare. RIP to the family and fans.

Oh no. This is terrible and deeply saddening. I can't imagine what his family and friends are going through right now. RIP.

I'm here to express my shock and pay my respect to him. this is unbelievable news and the suicide trend among Korean celebs is really distressing. makes me wonder how stressful being in the entertainment industry, plus that with all that fame and media craze and whatnot. I dunno if this is relevant with their depression, but being in the spotlight sure doesn't help.

I only saw him in Story of A Man, I think he's got great screen presence and good acting chops, and I was so looking forward to his next drama with YEH. Deep condolences to his family and friends. God help his soul. And lastly, quoting jb, "eff you producers."

I really enjoy him as the gruffy PD in On Air and as the second lead in Winter Sonata... and was planning to watch Story of A Man... Now I guess I can only rewatch these...

Wow. Just wow, I seriously can't believe this. This is just shocking and really terrible. The worst part is that no one really seemed to notice what a hard time he seemed to be having. It's a shame that most people who are suicidal or depressed don't show any symptoms, even to those close to them. This is just a shame, rest in peace Park Young Ha, you will be missed.

He will be missed by many...There are not many actors with his level of talent, and he brought joy and entertainment to a lot of people ... It's hard to believe that someone like him -- blessed in so many ways-- could be experiencing so much pain that he would be capable of suicide...But I hope he finds peace on the other side, and that his family does the same on this one...

i thought this was a really bad joke and screamed o my god when i saw the headline. he's one of my favorite actors. o god rip man.

It's so sad that all these stars think that suicide is the answer. Why are they all committing suicide? The Korean Entertainment Industry needs to look at themselves... the pressure they put on these stars and intense scrutiny at their every move and when they know someone is suffering from depression, give them the help they need! Poor Park Yong Ha. He was way too young to pass like that. What a loss of talent. I pray that his soul is at rest now and that his family may overcome this loss. It is just so sad...

On a episode of Family Outing, the family played a prank on her where they were pretending to not get along with each other and the poor girl actually started crying! I really hope she's okay. I'm finally starting to like her.

What a horrible loss and a terrible choice. I'm so sorry for his family and all his friends. All of them are now going to question themselves and wonder if they could have saved him if they had noticed something...so terrible.

I echo ripgal, something need to be done about the Korean Entertainment industry! Please let his death be the last one for a long, long time! KBS, MBC and SBS please look after and TAKE CARE of your stars and get help for them! Actors are very special people as they are very emotional that's why they can act so well.

Kdramas are so addictive because of the intensity of feelings! It doesn't help that the actors are so very overworked (with hardly any sleep during filming) and all the promo after that! My sister made a wry joke that korean actors/actresses cry so easily becos they don't have enuf sleep!

@87 what do the drugs in America have to do with this? Hello there a lot of artists in all countries that do drugs, America just don't hide it or condemn a person to certain death because of it! There worst things we American thinks warrants attention and it not the person who using drugs but the people who are selling it! Sorry, but suicide is not a major issue in America, that a fact! when it is committed it a shock because we just don't go to that extreme, especially celebrities. When a celebrities is found dead (murder is rude out first before suicide because it just uncommon in America! I I feels sorry for Park Yong HA but I'm more sorry for the country it self, your statement just prove that there no hope anytime soon, instead of focus on the issue that in Korea, you chose to comment about something so insignificant in another country! I take a person in Rehab over a person taking they life!

Oh..no..I was so excited to see him pairing with YEH. This is so sad, he is such an incredible and talented actor. Hope he can rest in peace and deepest condolence for his family.

I'm totally shock and saddened. Why is is that it is their mother's that find them in that condition? My condolences go out to his mother and family. I am sad that his father who is suffering from end stage stomach cancer has one more thing in which he has to bear. I am also sorry for Park Young ha, who was suffering internally that he could not cope and had to end his life in such a horrible manner.

I don't understand why he have to do that. He was doing so great. I know life is hard sometime, but I don't think killing yourself will help. It a selfish way letting go. I don't know what drive him to make such decision, but for those that are thinking of doin't the same don't. Think of the people that you love and there alway tomorrow. Just think that if the situation is hard, just let go of everything and go back to the basic and look down, don't look up and only see your problem and think of other that working hard just to get to the point where you're sincerest condolences to his family.
