Kam Woo-sung is King Geunchogo

Kam Woo-sung returns to television four years after his last drama series, portraying the titular role in upcoming KBS sageuk series King Geunchogo. Geunchogo was a warrior king who led the nation of Baekche from 346 through 375 A.D.

Kam’s last television role was 2006’s Alone in Love with Sohn Ye-jin, which ranks among the top critically acclaimed series of recent years. Alone in Love was marked by a thoughtful portrayal of a couple post-divorce, inflected with humor and pathos.

Directing King Geunchogo is PD Yoon Chang-beom of Seoul 1945 and Age of Warriors. Filming will begin in August and the drama will premiere in October on KBS.

omg, i am so happy about this. KWS. In a sageuk. PD Yoon Chang-beom who directed two of my fave sageuks ever. I.can.wait. even tho it'll be mid-Nov. for me on KBS World.

Yay more Saeguk from my favorite era. How many episodes JB?. Hope it's not more than 50. Yoon directed some really loooooooong historical dramas before. Like Wanggwa Bi 186 eps, Empress Myung Sung 124 eps, Moo In Shi Dae 158 episodes.

i was watching Alone in love yesterday for the trilion time and did wonder when will i see him again.Alone in love is one of the best Kdrama off all time period,and Kam soo kung and So ye il is wonderful in it

Yes he is! Wasn't he unforgettable in his character opposite Uhm Jung Hwa in this movie? So hot, there. Talking about smexiness, I guess that's what Wu Sungs share, whether their last name is Kam or Jung. *^^*

Alone in love is the best k-drama i have ever seen. He did such an awesome job. , so does the king and the clown. i am definitely longing for his upcoming project.
