Official poster revealed for Best Love

Woot woot! The main poster is out for Best Love, the Hong sisters drama starring Gong Hyo-jin and Cha Seung-won. The poster setup/composition isn’t really anything new, but it does pique my interest for the various lovelines going on — particularly since I do enjoy all four lead actors. For once!

It’s not often that that happens — and it almost never happens in a Hong sisters drama, since they’re so fantastic with lead couples that they seem to forget that there are other characters who need developing as well. As much as I love their adorable leads, you never feel that tension or suspense for their future, because it’s plain as day they’re meant to be. A little competition never hurt, especially when we’re supposed to be creating love triangles galore.

Here’s the teaser again, below. Brief plot rundown: Gong plays a washed-up former idol star, while Cha Seung-won is the present-day hot property. Based on the fact that his character’s first lines in the teaser below are “I…will…kill…you…”, I’m going to hazard a guess that his much-loved, sparkling reputation isn’t completely earned. Yoo Inna looks amusingly snooty as Gong’s former idol groupmate — can’t wait to see what little comic twists she incorporates into her portrayal — while Yoon Kye-sang plays the sole non-celebrity, a warm and friendly Oriental medicine doctor.

Frankly I’d say the teaser itself is kinda slapdash, edited together a bit haphazardly. And the music! Blaaaaaagh. (Seriously? That is the first glimpse you give us of your anticipated show?)

However. The scenes themselves seem zippy and funny and the actors appealing, and that’s really what I’m watching this drama for, anyway. I remember how loopy and strange I thought You’re Beautiful looked in its pre-premiere promos and trailers, and we all know how that turned out — mania crazes, fandom insanity, multiple Dramabeans site crashes. Ahh, those were the days.

Best Love premieres May 4. Bring it on!

Ooooh, I am looking forward to this one. I don't usually anticipate dramas or watch them as they air, as there's such a backlog of stuff I want to catch up with as it is, but a Hong Sisters' comedy with actors around my age is too good to pass up.

My woot woot is for Yoon Kye Sang!!! I love him. And I'm not familiar w/ Cha Seung Won but he looks like he will be hilarious in this. Can't wait!

it reminds me a bit of one of the worlds within posters, but quirky! The wrist grab is phased out - now it's the skirt-grab!

But towels do fall off VERY often in Kdramaland, at exactly the wrong (read: right) time.

I don't need that video! Twinkle Twinkle is my second favorite drama that is currently airing (49 days is first, of course). But is sooo frustrating waiting for the subs!!! I've been two weeks at episode 14, and I think I'm going crazy.

I watch it at Kimchidrama and they use With S2 soft subs, but I hope Dramafever has their own subbers and they better make it fast! (I may sound ungrateful, but I do appreciate the subbers efforts, I really do.)
Someone posted a Youtube link to the kiss scene and I couldn't resist the spoiler, I had to go see it!! So sweet!!

What is it that you mentioned, a towel falling? Whose towel? When did it fall? Who picked it up? Why wasn't I aware of this??

Rubbing hands in glee...first your question about the towel
This is a spoiler, but not a big one. It happens at the publishing office at the end of Ep 5, beginning of Ep 6. It is a very funny scene!

You have to get to ep 15! To me, that was when I fell in love with Song Seung Jun, and not only because his name is practically Song Seung Hun.

If you do not want to dl anything, the soompi thread for this has wonderful wonderful folks posting their translations of the big scenes. It isn't a LIVE recap, but it is good enought that you feel the emotion of the scenes.

Right now I'm on episode 14 and going crazy! I saw that towel scene on episodes 5-6. I asked because I thought you were talking about a "male" towel - sadly not Mr. Hand Towel :(

Aiyo... Yoon Kye Sang just makes me smile. Love him. Can't wait to see his role in this. I've missed that cute smile. The trailer makes this drama so worth watching!

It's funny how Yoon Kye-Sang isn't playing an idol or anyone famous, when he was an idol back in the day.

Omg, I would love to see YKS and YI in a rom com together as the main leads. They would be soo adorable, but I doubt anything like that will happen here. Yoo Inna seems like she's gonna be one of those slightly bitchy characters, but I think she'll make it kinda fun ;)

Yoon kye sung fightin! i luv him and he's one of those who doesn't seem to age fast? when i saw him first time in sister in law 19 i thought he was only in his early 20s up to this time he looks baby face! i can hardly wait for this one coz of him....arghhh so many dramas & so little time :)
