Lee Min-jung and Lee Jung-jin team up in rom-com

I like this pairing, A LOT: Lee Min-jung (Midas) and Lee Jung-jin (Runaway Plan B) have been cast as the leads in a new movie, which’ll feature them in a workplace romance when he’s brought in to save her flagging radio show.
Lee Min-jung plays Jin-ah, the DJ of a radio show with low listener ratings, who enjoyed a former existence as the leader of a popular idol group; they were one of the original girl groups known as being “nation’s fairy girls,” so think S.E.S. Lee Jung-jin plays Jae-ik, the prickly but talented and charming PD who comes in and creates a new segment on her radio show. In the process of presenting “vivid and dramatic” stories of their listeners’ daily lives, they encounter a “miraculous moment” that changes their own lives.
That has a dramatic ring to it, but Wonderful Radio is described as a cheery romance — consider me onboard. I love both actors, who are gorgeous individually and also together, whose cups runneth over with screen presence and charisma. I can already see them bickering and falling in love, and can’t wait to actually see it unfold onscreen. Oh, why isn’t this a drama??
Directing is Kwon Chil-in of Singles and Hellcats. Wonderful Radio will begin filming in June, and aims for a fall release.

This looks terrific.
I've loved her since BOF (and just to beat a really dead horse, I STILL think she should have ended up with GJP and JanDi w/my husband-KHJ!)
Lee Min Jung is so good - she was the only reason I suffered through Midas to the bitter end. She deserves a light rom/com after the dirge of Midas. :)

omg.perfect pair. I recently finished watching Midas and throughout the whole drama, lee minjung's scenes were one of the things i looked forward too because she is so gorgeous.

I just got finished watching 9 ends 2 outs for the third time yesterday. I just adore him in that and I loved him in Runaway Plan B. It will be a long time until I can watch this with subs in the US...But I will be waiting eagerly. I want to see him get the girl this time!!

totally agree. she was wasted in Midas. Actually that whole drama bored me to tears. Except Noh Min Woo who was pretty to look at....although all he did was cry, play piano, and smile at Lee Min Jung. XD
But yes~! I love this couple. They're going to be so awesome to root for. I hope they become a drama couple later on. =)

I totally concur. Why in the world is this NOT a drama? Lee Jung-jin is super charismatic and can pull off cranky with a heart of tofu supremely well.

I hope there is chemistry between these 2 goodlooking actors, as I was disappointed with the lack of chemistry between LMJ and JH in Midas. LMJ was kind of cold and detached in the character she played in Midas.

Well, it was the business aspect of it that made the drama interesting and different. There was no room to develop a good romance. I think it would have been better without it imo.

Love this guy; he really doesnt deserve to only be known as "Kwon Sang-Woo's friend in Once Upon a Time in High School" or "That guy in Plan B".

Just finished watching 9 end 2 outs (2nd time already, maybe I'll watch it again the for the third time) and Lee Jung Jin is so adorable. He looks like he gained some weight & a bit matured now, of course, compared when he was in 9 end 2 outs.
Anyhow, I'll be looking forward to seeing him again in a romcom. Can't wait.

I JUST SCREAMED. The drama gods have answered my prayers!!! Well, kind of. I was just talking about this in the GQ shoot comments... I wanted to see Lee Jung-jin in a rom-com drama.. But...

i obviously don't read things thoroughly because when I got to the "I wish this were a drama" part, I did a double take and thought, "Wait, it's not??" Scrolled up a little, and realized that it did say 'movie' up there. Awwww. I'm kinda bummed, now.

I'd rather it's a movie than a drama. Why? Because I seem to loose my patience with dramas these days. I recently find myself skip scenes and episodes if they don't significantly contribute to the main story line.
I like both actors, but if they made a drama with these two, I would still skip it. Maybe.

The plot for this sounds kinda like The Ugly Truth (Katherine Heigl & Gerard Butler) actually.
