Kim Nam-joo considers Ripley cameo

When Kim Nam-joo was starring in the drama Queen of Reversals, husband Kim Seung-woo put in a cameo — which leads to the question of whether Kim Nam-joo will return the favor now that her husband’s starring in his own MBC drama, Monday-Tuesday’s Miss Ripley.
She’s reportedly considering it, and has expressed her support for his role, even if it has him engaging in kissing and bed scenes with his co-star Lee Da-hae as the latter strategically romances the former on her way up the corporate ladder.
Kim Nam-joo said, “In order for him to embody his ‘stormy melodrama lead’ role perfectly, I’m making him regulate his late-night snacking to keep his sharp appearance, and putting some effort into his skincare. On days he has early morning shoots, I get up first to prepare healthy foods for him so he can focus on filming. He’s showing a different side for the first time in a while, so I’m pretty excited, too.”
Despite receiving the cameo offer, Kim is taking her time thinking it over, since Miss Ripley’s got quite a serious air, particularly when contrasted with a lighter trendy like Queen of Reversals. Cameos and pop-culture references are a lot easier to pull off in romantic comedies, when the audience gets to smile knowingly as the show wink-wink-nudge-nudges you with its meta jokes, but it takes a bit more finesse to work one into a straight-up drama, particularly without wasting the star.
I’m not sure what kind of character she could play, but I’d love to see her regardless, especially since they’re a star couple I particularly love seeing together. Could she play another rival businesswoman? Ex-wifey’s older sister? Someone who makes Miri’s life difficult, if only just for the meta implication of Hands off my man, you scheming opportunist?

Man, you just had to include a link to the post with the vogue pictures huh? I love that shoot. It reminds me of Tiger JK and MiRae's photoshoot together for their sizzling chemistry. Gotta love couple shoots like that. I say go for the cameo please.

They can ask her to cameo as her character in QoR, right?
Say, hotel A or B orders makeup/cosmetics for its employee holiday giveaway, and Miri somehow messes with the funding or whatnot...

I could really see her playing the absent Miri Mom role. She'd be a younger mom-type - and -- wait. Did they already show the mother dumping young Miri at the orphanage? I can't remember and I'm too lazy to go look right now.
Or maybe she could play a professor-type from SU who could bust Miri's claim's of college when she looks up our second leading lady to say hi (and who's your roommate, etc.)

Of course you post to the Vogue pictures. Gah, the one with him smoking a cigerette and her in the pink faux fur coat...Man it gets my inner romantic side all kinds of envious and jealous for that.
Should be interesting how they'd work her into the script. Not to mention the meta of "hands off my man!" would be hilarious in all this serious business.

It would be so good to have her cameo, esp in a "Get your hands of my man" capacity. I am surprised at how much I am enjoying Ripley, it's quite an interesting drama!

really? thats quite bad...
but i dont think she's that upset about it to consider against appearing (i dont think you get paid for cameos; its more like for advertisement or tv screentime/staying in public attention)
also, wouldnt her hubby kinda not want to do the role hes currently in if he knew that?

woow, kim seungwoo has a pretty wife (or, should i say, his wife is lucky to have a hot hubby? ^^)
i would kinda agree with her considering her cameo in MR; its better if it was in comedies than melodrama; but still, her appearance would up the ratings (not that above 10 is bad but cant solely depend on the Yoochun effect [every time he appears, ratings shoot up 5% for his scenes])

i've always admired Kim seong woo since Hotelier, Mr Duke days & of course IRIS & i think he's still hot considering his age! woah he's so tall & those tantalizing eyes, Kim nam is indeed lucky! i agree w/one of the comments here! :)

I really like Kim Seung Woo in Miss Ripley other than another starts.
