Yeon Jung-hoon back on cable with an emperor complex

Yeon Jung-hoon hit it big with cable in last year’s sensation, Vampire Prosecutor, and now he’s heading back (though on a different station) for another drama, tentatively titled For the Emperor. (Another reading: Here’s To the Emperor.)
No, it’s not a sageuk or a fantasy empire we’re dealing with. The plot deals with a young CEO with the Midas touch, who considers money to be the most important thing in the world. He literally calculates everything in terms of money, but his success has also earned him the reputation of being a tyrant; ergo, he suffers from “emperor complex.”
The emperor/CEO finds himself entangled in a strange conspiracy, however, and over the course of the drama learns what people and life are really about. His character is described as possessing a masculine charisma, to which I say, Duh. We all saw him kicking ass and taking names — and sucking blood while solving crimes, while he’s at it — didn’t we?
This one’s being produced for MBN to air on weekends, and although Vampire Prosecutor’s Season 2 is still on the table, that series has yet to solidify any concrete production plans, meaning we’ll be seeing Yeon in For the Emperor first.
Mr. Emperor had himself a youthful love; the leading lady role is still in the process of being cast. The drama will follow What’s Up on weekends, premiering in late February.

That's a sexy emperor for sure ! Lol at the masculine charisma description : So generic and so euphemistic in his case. :)
I'm glad to see his acting in VP gives him more job's opportunities. I read somewhere than production teams had to book the good thirty years old actors in advance because there is a lack of them. I think those guys are just shadowed by flower boys of all kind. They are kept hidden, but they do exist.
Now that we have the emperor, who will play the pain in the ass princess to put him in misery ?

age wise I don't know if it fits, but nonetheless I think she could totally pull it off next to Mr. Charisma ^^. I am talking about Jung So-Min, dying to see her on screen again. Or Moon Chae won?

Another leading man who's a rich jerk: been there, done that too many times. However, the conspiracy storyline does sound intriguing, and it is YJH, so I'm cautiously optimistic about this one.
By the way, I would normally hate that belt but on YJH: rawr!

I'm with you on the short hair, I don't know why, but I prefer men with short hair compared to those with long hair. Maybe I'm just old-fashioned like that. ^^ and I'm not even in my twenties yet!

i will watch whatever hot vampire Yeon Jung Hoon will do. Really, after Vampire Prosecutor, this guy got me hook line and sinker. Sorry Edward Cullen (and the entire Cullen clan), Yeon Jung Hoon shows the world how to properly wear guyliner and vampy teeth to come out oozing sexy hot!!! (time out while i wipe the drool from my keyboard) I cant believe I belittled him when I saw the wedding pics with the very beautiful Han Ga In. (Call me blind and dumb!)
So hot vampy needs a leading lady??? Can i nominate myself??? no? really? okay, so then i nominate the next best thing. Han Ga In. I want to see those two sizzle on screen. They make me want to watch Yellow Handkerchief - someday...

so bored waiting for next ep of VP2 so now all i do is reread all posts with YJH in it... *sigh* i already gobbled up everything i can find about him, even watched anything that has subs about him but still the wait is so painful
