@Kopytko
I didn't watch the phenomenal Vampire Prosecutor back then. But after watching Love in Magic I'm going to watch VP immediately, started from this week. He's really something. I think he reminds me of Park Yoochun of JYJ.

To anyone who doubted Queen InHyun's Man, you better change your mind. It's a good drama, where some cheesy lines don't sound cheesy at all. I didn't watched any of Ji Hyun Woo's previous drama before QIHM so I had no pretense about him. After QIHM I checked his previous drama and I understand why people doubt him. Those drama are not quite good. Never be my cup of tea. I don't blame it to the actors, but to the writers instead. Because once a mediocre actors are given good script and good directing, they could be trully surprising. And Yoo Inna is cute without even trying... I wonder why she often landed in evil second lead or minor character. She's good too in My Black Mini Dress. *enough bragging* *bow and left quietly*

Weird Rants Of The Week:

1. Why is it really starting to bug me about all the wrist-grabbing men in these dramas, to the point where I just wish the girl would smack the guys arm with a machete?

2. Why do so many people walk just.. really WEIRD? Some walk like apes, some walk like their arms are tied in place, etc. Is it just me that notes these totally unnatural looking things?

3. Why does almost every drama NEED to have some idiotic klutz, often with all the ambition of a sloth in it? I see that especially in anything involving a cop - the hero cop does things, but his partners, coworkers, supervisor etc. all are total slackers that don't seem to care about.. you know.. actually INVESTIGATING things?

4. People never tell anyone anything in these dramas, OK I can accept that as a plot device, though just barely. What gets my goat is that every single one of them NEVER pursues the answer after being told it is "nothing". Why do they always accept it at face value - don't they have any curiosity at all?

Re 1) Wrist-grabbing... they need it so we can so know either who gets the girl or doesn't; or at what stage of the relationship they are.

That said, I have never seen any one "wrist grab" in real life! I just don't think it's a natural thing to do. But I've been corrupted by dramas. When I was out with a Japanese friend that I hadn't know very long yet, I had to pull him out of the way of a car – I just grabbed him by the shoulders, but I was instantly thinking that maybe I was invading his personal space too much and should have wristgrabbed instead. (Or not even that, given that I was the girl.) And I knew I was only thinking that, because I have watched too many dramas.

Re 4) I find that mind-boggling. Not just the easy acceptance of "Nothing" but the fact that we know the characters are spending time together (off-screen, whether it's because they live in the same place, ride a car together, or whatever else) but have days in between conversations that in real life would mean direct confrontation right away.

1) Agreed with the wrist grabbing. Is it supposed to be attractive or something? Cos honestly I'd feel angry and would wanna smack him too...
2)Haven't noticed the walk-thing though
3) Maybe a plot device.. Like as to having a klutz next to the lead kindof highlights the lead????? Some of them do are funny though(the secretary guy of Shin Ha Kyun in AAMR)
4) That gets on my nerves as well...Like the leads don't confess to eachother but are sure to be honest to the second lead/rival. Yes that works as a plot device but it makes me mad everytime people say "aaniyaaa.. " and in the end it'll be made into a big dramatic revelation....

Oh and I would like to ask if the drunken piggy back rides and the subsequent vomiting on the person who is so graciously carrying you does happen as well???

Re 4) And not just more honest/open to second leads and rivals, but they believe second leads more readily than the actual person they are interested in, including when a) they barely know the second lead at all or b) know the second lead and have been burned by them in the past and should know better than to just blindly trust them.

I never understand that... how can you take for 100% true information from a second source that doesn't even have reliability rather than asking the person it actually concerns directly?

It's like the reply, "nothing" is supposed to protect the a) one who asks, or b) speaker, or c) both. But it is always an outright lie or confuses matters or distorts things. In any case, it always makes things worse.

It drives me beyond crazy when the asker NEVER questions the reply, "nothing" when it is always obviously "something." I wish the writers would come up with a better way to move the drama forward than to use the reply, "nothing."

Any good k dramas without wangst to recommend? Trying to distract myself from IHYV.

My only criteria: a compelling, realistic storyline with as little cliches and wangst as possible. No Shark or Cruel City cos' I've already tried both. Didn't get too far with CC and barely completed ep 1 for Shark.

Also is Ghost any good? I need to wear off my immunity to SJS (yes, slap me please) before Master's Sun starts.

@Windsun33

OMG I'm totally w/U on the whole wrist grabbing thing! It's like so caveman-ish y'know? And sometimes the lead heroine has these twig-like arms that I'm afraid they might snap fr such brute force -_-

Agreed *nods* on the klutz thing as well, like WTF is that all about?! I get that they do it for comedy value which works say 55% of the time. I mean I couldn't stand Bella's (yea I'm talking about Twilight now) clumsiness either LoL =P

Also I don't get why lead heroines when confronted by evil female characters to back off the lead guy, they actually do?! Like do u not have a spine? Why would you listen to anyone or have them make decisions for you?

Ghost is OK. It's like a CSI but in the cyber world. So Ji Sub looks sharp in a suit tho (:

Quite often (because I'm a relative newbie) I don't recognize the actors/actresses in the Java Beans Banner photo along the top of the page. Today there is a photo of Uhm Tae Woong, (who I knew first as Yushin) holding a megaphone. Is this a photo from 3 days 2 nights?

Yeah, I play, "guess who this is and where is it from" with this site. And I almost always lose.

Somewhere on here there's a link to a page with all the current banners, with little captions telling you who the actors/actresses are. On the other hand, your game sounds more fun!

I'm really surprised Dramabeans hasn't posted an article about SHINee's Minho joining the cast of Medical Top Team.

Hi Beanies, I just marathoned What Planet are You From?/ Wich Star Did You Come From?. It was good, I actually liked a lot it gave me the chills that i was missing from K-Dramas, it's not uber good but it worked for me, why? I don't know. Because when i tried to watch it about three years ago i couldn't get pass episode 2.

Currently watching:
IHYV-Soooooooo good! Can't wait for the final, I'm gonna miss Soo Ha so much :(

Cruel City- Still good for me, just two episodes more and it's the end of the road for that train.

Monstar- This week episode felt weird, like a mismatch of things, i don't know how to describe it, but it felt wrong.

Waiting for the subs of You are the Best Lee Soon Shin :D

And trying to reduce my list of dramas that i couldn't finish, that's why i watched Which Star Didi You Come From? And after that I switch to Baker King Kim Tak Goo it's ok so far, i'm in episode 5, also tried to finish Lee Tae Ri ( I droped it in episode 8) but couldn't, i don't know how i made it that far! jejejejejeje

I hope everyone have a great weekend!
