Moon Chae-won, Yoo Yeon-seok courted for That One Day

Moon Chae-won (Good Doctor, Nice Guy) and Yoo Yeon-seok (Answer Me 1994) have received offers to star in the upcoming film That One Day (or The Mood That Day). The movie will be about two strangers, a man and a woman, who meet on the KTX (the high speed train between Seoul and Busan). Using the seaside city of Busan as a backdrop, it will chronicle the events of a single day, and show the two’s brief, yet sweet, romantic pairing. It’s sounding a lot like Before Sunrise in Busan, no?
Moon Chae-won will start work on the big screen rom-com Three Men’s Woman soon, while Yoo Yeon-seok continues to strike while he’s hot — if he takes the role, this would be his fourth film commitment in less than six months. He’s currently wrapping up shoots for Secret Temptation with Im Soo-jung and Tailor with Han Seok-kyu and Go Soo. Both stars’ reps confirmed receipt of the script for That One Day, but were quick to add the project is just one of several under consideration by their clients.
These two leads seem like a really good fit for the film; Moon Chae-won has the acting chops to pull off the subtlety required from the role, while Yoo Yeon-seok has the ability to coax audiences into rooting for his character. I’m hoping these two sign on, as the movie has all the makings of being a poignant story — a reminder of those perfect days we’ve had that we wished would never come to an end.

I'd love to watch it! Good pairing.
Besides Before Sunrise, this also sounds like that one movie with Lance Bass from a long time ago, On The Line. Same overall storyline.

I thought so too on chemistry, yes he was offered but Hook was quick to comment on how busy he is blah blah blah, and no decisions have been made an article was posted a couple weeks ago on one of his fan sites. Not really sure if this type of movie rom com is his choice for first movie though.

For a split second I got REALLY excited thinking they were up for a drama project! I hope the both of them go on to commit to this project. I loved Before Sunrise... and it'll be great to see YYS in a work where the girl is genuinely interested in him.
And, I WANT YYS to sign onto a drama this year!!

I hope MCW doesn't accept this movie,this movie was originally planned in 2006 with lead actors are Kim Haneul and Kang Jihwan, so I assume it will be failed project plus the director not have good record and I think the story is plain and it seems boring

She's just considering it that means there is chance she might not do it, same goes for YYS, it also depends on how she feels about her character in the movie, if she don't like it she'll pass it away, YYS is also busy but it looks like he might be tempted to take it as he has never played male lead before and most of the movies he's casted in this year he's definitely playing second lead or supporting roles...

I have no problem with the film being shelved. This means the film has a lot potential that's why it resurfaced. And probably was able to settle all its issues and is all ready to roll.
I love the premise of the film. That's why I'm hoping this film pushes through. Poignant films work well with Chae-won's silent demeanor. And this is such a fantastic opportunity to showcase her strength as an actress.
I'm just a bit worried how people behind the scene will pull their own charm to make this film work. I don't know who the writer is and I've only read one article about the director. Based on online research, he only has one film under his belt.
But I am really keeping my hopes up.

As much as I want it to happen too, but the premise of the story feels like it will go with an open ended story. Unless, they will do a time jump where we see a happily ever after at the end.

I just love MCW, even when she was the protagonist in "Shining Inheritance", she brings a vulnerability to her characters that helps her connect with the audience.

I agree with you!!That is one of the strength of Moon Chae Won which is rare to find in other actors..There are actors who are good in acting but never get audience sympathy to their character even they are the main character..Moon Chae Won connection with her audience is so strong...No matter what role she is playing whether she is evil or not she always captures audience hearts..Viewers could always feel the emotions of her character and can relate to it even they did not experience it in real life..And I think it's one reason why she has the strong power to draw many audience and viewers..

yeah, I was really glad to see MCW break out from second lead territory precisely because of that quality (and she's a good actress too), and she always has good chemistry with her leading men though I haven't seen Good Doctor so can't speak of Joo Won. In the younger gen, Kim Ji-won reminds me of her, a little, which is why I root for her so much too.

Joo won and Moon Chae Won had really good chemistry in "Good Doctor", if you have the chance definitely watch it. Joo Won was very believable as an autistic person, he is also a very good actor.

Aside from Before Sunrise, J-Drama called Arifureta Kiseki also rings a bell. Though the main connection they had was because of suicide, but same plot overall.

This could be interesting, I'd love to see them together onscreen so I hope they get paired up in the future even if not for this project.
And I love seeing our Chilbongie so busy - though busier is better for his fans, doesn't he have to do military service soon, as an '84-er? Or did he finish it earlier?

sounds like a Before Sunrise rip-off. Let's hope they don't melo it down too much ala typical korean melo. But if done right, it's probably would be a very nice version of two strangers meet and make lifelong friendship.

omg i couldnt stand before sunrise, too much talking! i hope this is more like hello stranger (thai movie. really good btw, you should watch) with lots of fun and jokes altho the premise is not as similar.
