Yeon Jung-hoon considers going villainous for Man to Man

Wait, are they going to have to change the title to Man to Man to Man now? Because if Yeon Jung-hoon (Mask) is going to be joining Park Hae-jin (Cheese in the Trap) and Park Sung-woong (Remember—Son’s War) in the JTBC action drama Man to Man, well, that’s a lot of manliness we’re dealing with.

Currently, Yeon Jung-hoon has been offered the role but has not yet confirmed it; there isn’t a description out yet for his character, though it’s described as a villain. Which, yay and yum. The two main characters are an elite bodyguard with a mysterious past (Park Hae-jin) and the stuntman-turned-Hallyu-star (Park Sung-woong) he gets assigned to protect, and while I couldn’t imagine Yeon Jung-hoon playing third fiddle as a supporting lead, I can on the other hand totally picture him as a scene-stealing villain. Preferably wearing lots of eyeliner. Maybe twirling a mustache and giving good smolder. And I suppose I can be retroactively glad that KBS freed up Yeon’s schedule to allow for Man to Man by scrapping his sageuk drama. Thank… you?

Chae Jung-ahn is in final negotiations to join the cast as a former Miss Korea who marries into a chaebol family, but it looks like there’ll be another leading lady role that has yet to be cast. There was a brief round of news that Han Ji-min was going to take that role, but it was immediately quashed by her management, who stated that while they’d done an initial schedule check, she’d never officially been offered the role. So we’ll have to wait and see who will eventually fill that spot, and I’m keeping my hopes up for a solid pick.

Man to Man plans to begin shooting in early October and will broadcast next year,

I hope he has a loveline with Sungwoong. They look good together. Besides, he was good in his turn in Mask as the complex and somewhat unhinged villain so I can't wait!

Are they also considering changing the title? BecauseIt's Raining Men in Man to Man to Man. A villainous YJH would be just right to fill that sandwich.

This drama will broadcast after 'Strong Woman', right? But why don't have any news about 'Strong Woman'?

I was thinking this really needs a strong actress with a lot of presence, and Wang Ji Hye immediately poppped t mind. I was thinking she was due for a project (but it seems she was just in a long drama that wasn't licensed in the US). Still, as long as her character is basically icy she can play good or bad.

With each new casting news, this drama is slowly becoming a must-watch for me. Seriously. I hope this turns out good. We wouldn't waste such a perfect cast, no?

Yeon Jung Heon is deliciously evil in every villain roles, but now I wonder if he ever plays good guy/hero again.
I miss his sweet smile from Daddy Long Legs (looongg long time ago).

This has got to be the prettiest photo of YeonJH that I've seen. He looks 10 years younger, and so very handsome in almost a flower boy way.

Yeon Jung Heon plays a mini villain in 'Skip Trace' as well. I didn't know he was in it until he came on screen and I couldn't help but squeal in delight like a "school girl who saw her crush at close range" in the cinema. I kept cheering up every time he was on screen.
Even though, it may have been awkward since it appeared that no one within close range had any idea who he was. I kept telling my friends "he's a well know South Korean actor" :D

I looked up the movie because I hadn't heard of it. That is quite the international cast right there. I didn't know Jackie Chan was up to anything besides giving kpop Double JC (JJCC).

Though the Wikipedia synopsis isn't so much an idea as the entire movie plot*, I'd still like to see it. Sounds cool.

*seriously don't read the Wikipedia unless you want SPOILERS.

It was the same for me. We ended up at the cinema and saw Jackie Chan on a poster and decided to watch it.
You should watch it if you can. It had some laugh out loud moments and there's one particular scene of Yeon Jung Heon that's very comical, that you just can't forget.. :D

PLEASE PLEASE TAKE THIS ROLE.

his talents were so wasted in Mask. he brought so much to a one dimensional character but alas, even he couldn't save such a failing script... still bitter about how that show was always on the brink to awesomeness but never quite made it there....

so pretty please? i promise to watch every episode (though i can't help with the ratings lol)

if Nam Gongmin goes from darkness to the light, its just awesome Yeon Junghoon goes deeper into darker side.
they should make these two in a movie or drama and keep quiet about the storyline until the release day. so we can guessing who's the villain and who's the good guy.
or we can just make them both bad and the bad-est win ^^

Vampire Prosecutor!!!! I hope he confirmed!!

I like both PHJ and PSW and I like YJH too. Anyway I don't think he will be supporting role. This drama seems to center around the male cast and the female cast are the supporting ones. The main lead is obviously PHJ but I think PSW & YJH are both leads too. The story will more likely surround them. With PHJ & PSW on the good side while YJH is the villian.
