Lee Jong-seok moves in next door in While You Were Sleeping

The supernatural legal SBS drama While You Were Sleeping is looking much more rom-comy in the second teaser than it did in the first. Along with the newest teaser, a couple of stills have been released showing Mr. Hotshot Prosecutor Lee Jong-seok (W—Two Worlds) moving in next door to our clairvoyant heroine, played by Suzy (Uncontrollably Fond). He shows up with a rice cake in his hands looking adorable as always, following the tradition to bring your new neighbors rice cakes as a sign of good will and future good relations.
This newly released second teaser, though, is what really got me thinking maybe this drama will be lighter than I thought. From the first impression and the synopsis about a heroine who’s plagued with nightmarish dreams of other people’s tragic futures and the prickly prosecutor who would try to prevent those tradegies, I thought While You Were Sleeping would be going the melo route. However, the new teaser is bright and funny as it opens with copy written on clear blue skies: “I dreamt a sweet dream.”
In the first scene, we see Suzy waking up with a firm conviction that Lee Jong-seok is in love with her. He clearly is in disagreement; he rants and raves about how Suzy is obviously delusional and narcissistic. But then it’s shown that he’s actually the one with a prince syndrome, as he goes around taking selfies and reaffirming his own brilliance to himself in empty interrogation rooms as his team watches him from the other side of the one-way window.
As he’s called into a meeting with his superiors, they let him know that he still has a long ways to go. The copy reads: “It finds you like a dream in the middle of the daily grind.” Lee Jong-seok is down in the dumps as he struggles to figure out what to do, when suddenly out of nowhere, Suzy pops up beside him.
She’s like his personal vitamin C, patching him up when he gets hurt or being the shoulder he can sleep on. She lets him know: “I wasn’t lying when I said I saw the future.” The teaser ends as Lee Jong-seok has finally grown accustomed to her and looks for her across the way. In his voiceover he’s much more uplifted, telling us that he has “found a person who cheers me on.” Waah, so cute! When can I get my hands on this drama?
Darn, it’s still two weeks away. Wednesday-Thursday drama While You Were Sleeping begins on September 27, after Reunited Worlds ends.

The Sageuk hair?, LJS in the purple-track-top..sporting a...zit...sorry if it is not. The '1930's' -looking hair?, where Suzy has on that White and red polka dot outfit. Or the normal hair?, ...eh?... present day hair.

From the trailer I am convinced that Lee Jong Seok should play a vampire character someday, he is totally giving me a Edward Cullen vibe from his paleness.

Knowing the writer, I hope she brings Suzy's acting potential out (just like on Dream High). I'm honestly going to watch this because of the writer, LJS, and the cute teasers and posters!

While I now think the drama title is poetic, and I understand the context refer's to the main lead's dreams. . . When I first heard the title, the phrase brought to mind imagery of rape culture/mentality (think Law & Order SVU). And I still get an icky feeling every time the drama title is mentioned, though I know it's not warranted.

I was was thinking Sandra Bullock too, but the first film I thought of was Premonition, not a romcom and has the supernatural element, but a while ago I thought of While you were sleeping, just a romcom, too.

There's so much reason for me to watch:
The writer, Lee Jongsuk, Lee Sangyeob, Suzy (she might not be the best actress but I still really like her), Lee Sangyeob, Shin Jaeha, the beautiful teasers and stills, the cameos <3 (Kim Sohyun!!), did I mention Lee Sangyeob?

So is it when she peers out — she can see the clouds. And when he looks out all he sees is a fence-wall with the sun-bathing cat. But it is more like their personalities: she has her mind set to see the silver lining in any situation? and he – no matter how successful is to vain to see that his view of life is like that of a brick-wall somehow.
If it is like that, that just amps up my excitement for the show, regardless of which way it will turn out time-slot-wise.

I feel like this show is trying to mimic the 'feel' that "I Can Hear Your Voice" had, which is light a breezy at the beginning, but then the writer and PD-min shout "Plot twist!!!" somewhere down the road and the tone just completely changes to the opposite of what it was before XD

Lee Jong-seok is too irresistible.. Ever since this drama was announced I was so sure I'm going to skip it but now that it's creeping around the corner I get the feeling that I HAVE to watch it after watching his stills. Suzy's short hair definitely helps, she looks cute in that.
