Premiere Watch: Love All Play

Time slot: Wednesday-Thursday
Broadcaster: KBS
Genre: Spots, romance, drama
Episode count: 16

Let it not be said we haven’t been getting a goodly dose of cute youth dramas of late! Our mid-week drama premiere is bringing badminton back — again — and it looks like Love All Play could be a sweet little drama that just might turn into a sleeper hit. The stars — Chae Jong-hyeop and Park Joo-hyun — are up-and-comers who are recognizable enough, but also fresh enough to seem new (and/or risky, depending on how you look at it). To me, it’s the perfect choice for a youthful sports drama to feature starry-eyed newbies, and I’m looking forward to any and all magic that this drama can pack onto the badminton court, into the locker room, and anywhere in between. The PD’s previous drama was the darkish legal drama Justice, while the screenwriter previously brought us two dramas that I unabashedly enjoyed (Tomorrow With You and Full Sun) — in other words, I’m at the ready.

Another drama on Disney+. Duly noted- another show for me to watch when I do a temporary subscription. Which will not happen until Disney is willing to make it available in the US along with the other shows I want to see.

I really hope Disney+ make their Korean content available in all regions sooner rather than later but it does not look promising right now.

I was really looking forward to this drama. Sigh.

The writer of Tomorrow With You?!?? I was already anticipating this drama, but now it had shot up immediately to the top of my list of shows to watch. I’m so excited.

Oh, they changed the title. It's funny because this title already exists for a Japanese anime about badminton that started to air in April too.

I'm so excited to see Mr. Potato, Chae Jong Hyeop again after a while. This looks promising and the chemistry between the two leads is strong. Hope to see a happy ending... Please... not another 25-21 heartache.

Happy to see CJH in a lead role...His acting is so good.

Watched the first episode and liked it. It's like a more jaded version of "Racket Boys."

I like its previous title better: "Going to You at a Speed of 493km". The unofficial record there is what makes it special, unlike the generic "Love All Play". Ugh.

Anyway, I've been waiting for CJH, that boy's smile just lights up the world. But Park Ju-hyun surprises me with her slightly awkward Tae-yang. And their chemistry is just- Wow
