Premiere Watch: Race

Time slot: Wednesdays
Broadcaster: Disney+
Genre: Office, slice-of-life
Episode count: 12

Reasons to watch: I’ve been really looking forward to this one — I think it’s time to admit I like workplace dramas more than I think I do. There’s something so relatable about watching characters go through the 9-5 grind along with us, and through the K-drama lens, it’s even better.

In our tale of four, we have heroine and new hire Lee Yeon-hee, who’s just scraping by, her workplace hero Moon Sori, and their sounds-too-good-to-be-true CEO Yunho. Rounding out the four is our heroine’s good friend and now coworker Hong Jong-hyun (who I also like more than I think I do). The drama will follow these four characters as the company weathers a hiring scandal, but the foundation of the story promises to be a character-centric slice-of-life, so I’m looking forward to getting to know these four as they go through their day. And if there are some workplace hijinks (and romance) thrown into the clocking in and out and trying to get presentations in on time, all the better.

TL;DR: Office slice-of-life featuring four characters and their workplace challenges

I have absolutely zero clue what this will be like or whether I'll even like it BUT I'm guilty of judging books by their covers and the posters for this show have been very nice on the eyes so far, so I'll be jumping straight in when it drops today!
