Premiere Watch: D.P. 2

Time slot: Friday (single drop)
Broadcaster: Netflix
Genre: Action, drama, military
Episode count: 6

Reasons to watch: After the success of D.P. back in 2021 — with its rough but poignant storytelling — the series is back for a second season. You know, in case you didn’t see Netflix hyping it for the last several months or so. Our soldiers from Season 1 return (led by Jung Hae-in, Gu Kyo-hwan, Sohn Seok-gu, and Kim Sung-kyun), and the creative team returns as well. With new characters, new complexities, and lots of new missions, it’s safe to say that D.P. 2 knows what to do to keep the series’ success going. I think the only question mark here for me is if the rawness and authenticity that made D.P. such a hit will be sustainable as the story branches into a second season.

TL;DR: Our deserter pursuit team is back in action for more harrowing tales

The first season was so good, so I am hoping for no sophomore slump

Awesome, I am glad you are enjoying it. I did not enjoy it as much as season 1.

The green suit is just a tad out of place.

I loved every time Son Suk-ku called Koo Kyo-hwan and Jung Hae-in by the wrong names "Ho-young and Jun-woo," so they would deliberately enunciate their names "Private Ahn Jun-HO. Corporal Han Ho-YEOL."

The way Jung Hae-in says "I'm sorry, sir? (잘못됐습니까?)" lives rent-free in my head.

@panshel: Is 잘못됐습니까? used to mean a quizzical “I’m sorry”? rather than “Is it wrong” in formal speech level?

I'm sorry, @DncingEmma! The phrase in the military is "잘못들었습니다?" https://youtu.be/fKh0PTd_Yu0?t=19

I'm sorry, I should've YouTubed it before! Or at least looked at Jung Hae-in's Instagram https://www.instagram.com/p/CSzAyfPpXND/

@panshel: Please don’t worry!🥰

I found funny when they told that Jung Hae-In said his own name the first time they filmed : Private Jung Hae-In, instead of Private Ahn Jun-Ho. It helped the other actors to be less nervous.

I'm so excited to watch it!

It looks like the incident of the end of season 1 will fall in the politics hands and the public opinion. It will be interesting to see this new side.

Once again, this series has managed to bring me through an entire kaleidoscope of emotions. Now that I’ve watched season 2 in it’s entirety - in practically one sitting - I’m left with the inability to stop thinking about it.

Well done, D.P.! Another amazing season!

I just finished it and I feel the same! "Kaleidoscope of emotions" is the perfect way to describe it.
