Reasons to watch: Finally! It feels like we’ve been waiting for this cuteness to drop for ages now — Kim So-hyun always gets a lot of buzz up (and rightly so), but the premise and promo materials have been strong from the start. Kim So-hyun plays our heroine who can detect peoples’ lies, and it leaves her jaded; Hwang Min-hyun, on the other hand, is a reclusive music producer suspected of murder (but he’ll always be a Daeho mage in my brain). The drama looks cute, fun, and just edgy enough to keep things fresh — and our PD knows a thing or two about how to make a fun drama, with Love in Contract and My Roommate is a Gumiho on his resume. Also starring in secondary roles are Lee Si-woo, Seo Ji-hoon — out to kill us all with second lead syndrome yet again — and Yoon Ji-on, who more than deserves his big break.

TL;DR: Kim So-hyun can detect peoples’ lies and Minhyun’s got 99 problems

I was initially a hesitant about this drama and I actually felt bad since I really like So-hyun and I was a Seo Yul defender in AoS II, but since the trailers have come out I’m strangely optimistic. I don’t know why, but it kinda reminds me of the romcoms that I’ve come to love like INAR. I usually prefer watching mystery and saeguk dramas a lot more, but I have a good feeling about this.

A lovely detail: Kim Sohyun’s character’s full name sounds like the word for voice in Korean which is 목소리 (moksori).

Hwang Min-hyun really kicked it out of the park as Seo Yul in Alchemy of Souls! Here's hoping he's awesome in this one. The trailer looks pretty good. I don't know if I can bear to watch 2 episodes a week or just wait to binge watch it all when it finishes. Hell, I'll watch the first episode today!

Did you stop at one or watch them both in the end? That wait for it to finish airing so you can binge is a tough. Sometimes the banter makes you want to join the beanies in the weekly comments but the joy of binging especially if it finished well, nothing compares to it.
