  • A new poster and stills have been shuttered out for ENA’s fantasy Midnight Photo Studio, spending ample time with our title’s dimply owner and photographer Joo-won (Stealer – The Treasure Keeper). Working together with Kwon Nara (Bulgasal – Immortal Souls), Yoo In-soo (Death’s Game), and Eum Moon-seok (Good Job), the studio will be opening its doors on March 11 in the Monday-Tuesday slot.   • Checking in on tvN’s Wedding Impossible, the latest promos have our jobbing actor Jeon Jong-seo (Bargain) seesawing between the conflicting requests of two brothers. With Kim Do-wan (Doona) wanting (fake) marriage and Moon Sang-min (Duty After School) against, the rom-com premieres later this month on February 26. [MBC (1), (2)]

  • On KBS, journalist Kim Haneul (Kill Heel) is commanding the search for truth in the new poster for Grabbed by the Collar. Alongside ex-boyfriend Yeon Woo-jin (Daily Dose of Sunshine) and current husband Jang Seung-jo (Death’s Game), the crime-thriller is set to unfold in March with Bae Soo-young penning the scripts and Lee Ho at the helm.   • The question of truth is on Kim Nam-joo’s (Misty) mind as well, as her once happy life is shattered in the newest posters for MBC’s Wonderful World. Following Knight Flower in the weekend slot, the revenge-mystery will be launching on March 1, with Cha Eun-woo (A Good Day to Be a Dog), Kim Kang-woo (Artificial City), and Im Se-mi (The Worst of Evil) also headlining the series.   • TVING released their main teaser for the upcoming Pyramid Game, which stars an ensemble lineup with Bona (Joseon Attorney), Jang Da-ah, and Ryu Da-in (Crash Course in Romance) among others. Directed by PD Park So-yeon (The Heavenly Idol) with scripts by Choi Soo-yi, the webtoon adaptation is slated to premiere on February 29. [10 Asia]
  • Ending on a lighter note, long live our chaebol queen Kim Ji-won (My Liberation Notes) who takes the spotlight as tvN’s Queen of Tears in the newest stills. Also starring husband Kim Soo-hyun (One Ordinary Day), the rom-com will be coming to our screens on March 9, taking over the weekend slot after Captivating the King concludes its run. [News1]

It's annoying how nepotism lets some rando get leading roles out of nowhere while hundreds of talented working actors have to bust their asses off (and fake-marry their gay best friend!!) and get nothing but debt and misery in return (the nepo baby in question is Jang Da-ah, whose younger sister is famous k-pop it girl Jang Wonyoung).

6. She's so beautiful and stunning and gorgeous. If Kim Soo-hyun gives her trouble, she can leave him and come to me; I would do anything for her, no matter what.

Wedding impossible and Queen of tears two contrasting promo approaches. Wedding impossible shows the context of the drama clearly whilst Queen of tears seems to be fan service and wardrobe PPL covered in one go. I am looking forward to both and live in hope that they will keep me entertained for the duration.

I have just realised the multiple layers of PPL used in different dramas. The background items usually the car with a brief zoom in on a particular feature on the dashboard or that it’s electric. The long lingering shot of a coffee machine while one of the leads makes a drink alone. The in your face ‘have one of these to help you focus close up of the name of said coffee flavoured sweet. Make up that makes your skin so soft or more recently hand cream that smells really nice.

I think quality dramas with top stars do more of background and long shots with quality brands with instantly recognisable logos, products that speak for themselves. I am really looking forward to seeing what the in your face products are. If they use Subway or Kopiko it will only make sense if it’s a reminder of the male leads poor background or student nights or late working on projects in his early days at the company.

In regards to WONDERFUL WORLD, I love the first poster but detest the secound. "Leads being put one atop each other and blended using different layers of opacity" is the worst!! Love the colors on the pinkish poster, though.
Sidn't QUEEN OF TEARS have character posters a while back?

Both 1 and 2 feature men with hair that is oranger than I’d like, but one of them looks like he’s entered his “Junho circa 2017” phase (not mad about it) and the other looks like he’s calling back to Vitamin C from the late 90s (kinda feel bad for him).

Queen of Tears loves a strong shoulder line and I’m here for it. That bottom left jacket is 🔥

I've always wondered about what seems a preference among kdrama actors for orange hair. Of course, this reflects my own aesthetic bias, but I would think a deeper red, or even blue or purple would look a lot better. Wonder why orange became such a common color?

Thanks for this info! Obviously I have no experience with hair dying, worried as I am about retaining any hair of any color.

My preference these days is for grey hair. I would love to see a few mature actresses who are NOT playing grandmas or supernatural deities with lustrous silver locks, and that color I think some of them could attain naturally!

@attiton If I had my druthers, I probably would choose a nostalgia color from my youth, like avocado green or harvest gold, so my hair would resemble a 1970s kitchen appliance. Unfortunately, I don't think they make those dye colors anymore.

My theory has been that it must be to match the webtoon character, but having done an incredibly superficial search and finding only dark-haired and blonde characters, I’m thinking Seon-ha has the only reasonable explanation.
