I was listening to Max’s new song ”Chocolate” again (awesome song) and I was reminded of “Balloons.” It’s one of those super iconic K-Pop songs that almost everyone knows. So it led me to thinking. I’ve been meaning to compile a list of Iconic K-Pop songs for the longest and I figured I’d l enlist the help of my fellow beanies to do just that.
What songs to you think are iconic in the world of K-Pop?
Please post on your wall and tag me so I don’t miss anyone.
It’s funny that DB5K were the ones who made this song to be iconic, but their version is actually a remake 🙂 A remake of the original childrens’ version, I believe 🙂
Not going too far off, another really iconic song of theirs, besides the obvious one (“Mirotic”), is “Love In the Ice” <3
Children’s song? This is a remake?! Hahaha. I didn’t know. Apparently their version is based off of the Five Fingers version. https://youtu.be/L62JpTT7TT4
This is hard for me because I am so new to kpop, but there where definitely titles that I’d see pop up alot. Like songs I became aware of before ever listening to them.
Like Replay by SHINee and Sorry Sorry by Super Junior. I Am the Best by 2NE1 and Bang Bang Bang by Big Bang. I almost want to say G Dragon in general, lol.
It took be a while to get back into Pentagon after E’Dawn left.
I had no clue about this show until you mentioned it. It looks really cool! I will most definitely check it out. Although, I feel like, why is Pentagon there? They’re the biggest/most well known group I might think. Has this show had previous seasons before?
Queendom was the predecessor to it which was girl groups. I didnt watch it but I’ve since seen a lot of love for it. It had Park Bom, (G)idle, Mamamoo, and others on it.
I guess the first round will be dance covers/revisions. Someone let out a spoiler on which group will be covering what so I’ve been slowly watching the originals that I dont know.

You’ve listed some very Iconic ones! G Dragon is incredibly prolific.
Who are some of your favourite artists thus far?

Probably top two are SHINee and Big Bang, though that obviously comes with some issues. Also, love Taemin and GD as solo artist.
I’m hoping that Road To Kingdom will rekindle some of my old affection for Pentagon and also maybe introduce me to some new groups.

Everything that came out in 2009 tbh.
Lol. Don’t Don by Super Junior deserves more credit. That song and MV were epic.
