Some of you may already know I am a Winter ❤ Garden Shipper, a hardcore one.
As of now (ep8), after reviewing their interactions for a gazillion times, I found our gentle Prof. Garden be shaken by the cold Dr.Winter gradually and progressively. To consolidate my findings, I decided to make a compilation of scenes and my make-believe theories that will soothe my poor soul. Cause we can never know if this ship will ever set sail by the end of SS1. Or it will sink before we can even embark. At least please hear me out.
Title: You know A Man is in Love with A Girl…
1. When he steals a glance at her in the meeting.
Not just once
Not just twice
But three times
You’d think I didn’t catch that 3rd time. Right?
Then he gives her the only snack she’s been chomping down her throat this entire time. Not the whole tray. Just that one kind.
4. When he could’ve just stay far from her and leave the empty space between them as far as he has always been trying to do. He, instead, walks toward her, hence reducing the gap.
And the ‘arrow sign'(?); upward ⬆ (Heaven = God?), left ⬅ with the backward spelling message (Kyeo-Wool?).
Possible Meaning: She has been the one who tries to approach him first. Once she decided to stop and stay in her place, now in reverse, he’s drawn to her and decides to leave his beloved Haneu-Nim?
Could anyone tell me if this is the first time she puts her hair down?
5 When he’s visibly awkward and struggling to start a conversation with her. He could’ve just stand there saying nothing. She’s obviously still devastated from thier previous encounter and doesn’t want to speak to him.
Oh yeah! Keep checking your watch, looking at the weather, etc. You’ll eventually find a topic
THIS. If he dislikes her, he wouldn’t even stand there. He doesn’t have to talk to her too especially after he rejected her last time but he asks her why she’s leaving early (he knows her scheduleeee) and if she’s meeting Min-ha (knows her best friend). There’s no way he doesn’t like her!
He is like someone who instinctively knows what he feels, but stubbornly denies it because he “shouldn’t” have that feeling. I foresee a lot of unconscious pursuing from his part (probably it will also be prompted by Ik-jun who seems to know what’s happening between these two) from this week eps on.
Like when he shows up at the director’s office because Kyeo-Wool got complained by the drug-addicted patient. (Well, 3 professors show up on her behalf. Really the GS princess, indeed.) He absolutely has no reason to be there. Ik-Joon is her direct supervisor (well, along with the other 12 GS professors). Only Ik-Joon and the primary doctor would be more than enough. Yet, he bothers to show up. He CARES! He wants to know the situation in case she needs his help.
Also you know in the initial epsiodes when JW says “She’s not my cup of tea” and the ER doctor visits him to enquire about the Daddy Long Legs programme but then he gets a call about that patient with legs infested with Maggots so he tells his resident to page General surgery (ouri doctor Winter) and gets up to leave, JW FOLLOWS HIM!! HE HAS ABSOLITELY NO REASON TO BE THERE, THE PATIENTS IS NOT A KID AND HENCE DOES NOT FALL INTO HIS DOMAIN yet he decides to go to the ER!!
Also, when he follows Ik-Joon as he suspects his friend might be having an affair with Kyeo-Wool. His words was clear and specific: “IT CAN’T BE JANG KYEO-WOOL” not “You can’t be having an affair”.
Oh my, do you guys have more?! I’m so impressed by everyone picking up things that I didn’t notice at all! Going to the ER for the maggots even though it wasn’t a child. And with Seokhyung and Minha when she gave him hot coffee instead of iced! If you have more, please drop them!!!! I’d love to read them
Ep.9 Recap makes me come back to the post, even though I said I don’t care about the ship anymore.

In a meeting in which 2 residents + 1 intern + 2 med students attend, WHY did he give the snack to just one person?????????????? It also happened to be the kind she’s been eating.

The MOST logical and natural thing for a professor to do after the meeting is to give the entire tray and tell them to share. Like Kyeo-Wool, she was doing that during the meeting. She gave one to all of her colleagues.
What he did was special. Just for her. How could I interpret differently?
