I wondered where he’d find her I thought maybe on the bridge (saved from jumping off?). Then when I saw her by the seaside, I immediately thought, romantic scene coming up. But the staging of this, with the light between them, is symbolically charged … Much better than I was imagining, and it doesn’t seem cliched to me, even though it is an often-used symbol. It just seems so natural.
Visually brilliant. Kudos to the writers and director.
