Sometimes when Im reading a book–even one that I like– I find myself thinking “shouldn’t this be over by now?” Same thing happens when Im watching a drama every now and again. Again, even one Im enjoying, just the thought “shouldnt this be over now?”
Feel it all the time! They really should get rid of the 16 episode rule – some stories just take less time to tell. And don’t get me started on those uberlong 1h15 episodes, pfff. Loved the 45 min format in School nurse files
I see those longer eps and it doesnt matter how good the drama is everything in me says DONT PUSH PLAY WE CANT COMMIT TO THIS! It took me like a solid week to watch the what…? almost 2 hour long season finale of hosptial?
Same! I have–more than once–binged an entire series in a day or two. But I still hesitate on those hour plus dramas. I think that I think that if you have to go over the hour maybe its not edited well?

I’d rather have twice as many shorter episodes than the really long ones. It just seems easier.

It’s such a mental thing – I’ll happily watch two 50 min episodes back to back but one hour and half episode 😱😱 that’s too much of a commitment
